When Pappy was 14 they didn't even have a Californy!
Speakin' o' culture, Edward McKay's is movin' aroun' the corner between Ghassan's an' Guilford Builder's Supply on Battleground. Says here they'll be closed between April 25th and April 27th.

I just hope Ed McKay's has better Parking this go round... Those CYCLE people next door were SO selfish with their parking spots.....They never had more than 1 customer but hogged 12 spots that sat empty while folks lined up to park at Ed's.
I finally figured out a system though.... I would go into the cycle shop (which is laughable if you know me...) and asked for a livestrong bracelet(which they never had in stock) and then I'd say, I'm running next door to Ed's do I need to move my car? They'd be so nice (since I was one of their customers) and tell me I didn't have to move....
Glad they are moving since livestrongs are passe.

Yeah, especially since it turns out ol' Lance wasn't such a good ol' American boy after all.... Or maybe he was....

I've never really gotten into her stuff, but there are a few of her lyrics I've picked up on that I like...
Hers is an interesting story... She was an elementary school (I think) music teacher who got a break... I don't know exactly how it happened, but I can't help but look at our music teachers differently now since I know that story. I guess I figure she might inspire others and then, wham! I might know a rock star!!! ♥♥♥

The Carolina POPS concert last night in Greensboro was super! Michael Berkowitz was POPS conductor for the season again this year and man does he have the credentials! He's led orchestras such as Boston Pops, London Symphony, and has recorded with Placido Domingo and such. He is also a drummer and has performed with Bette Middler, Sting, Billy Joel, Henry Mancini and lots of others. Sure did a great job with the Greensboro Symphony.
Last night was a tribute to Leonard Bernstein and music from Broadway such as West Side Story, Candide was included in the program.
The vocalists were top notch, too, with impressive bios.
Thanks to the Greensboro Symphony for making beautiful music and bringing the "Big City" to us.

I'll put my copy of DaVinci on the NWO forum "shelf" when I'm finished Pappy and you can read it..... Then we can have a real book discussion!
Uh oh... now there's pressure to finish it... just like high school!
Pardon my stupidity (again) but is Illuminated the name of the movie? I don't get out much....
