Hey, Lacka! How ya been? Good idea about getting travel books there... I'll remember that for our next! That's pretty neat to get the personal observations along with the professional ones as well...

Just had to come back here. Bama, so you are on number 10 (whenever the library opens again) and then you will read 11-20 and aren't you wondering if you are going to be missing something when you don't get to read number 21?? This troubles me that the guy just up and died on you. I would be afraid that I had spent all of that time reading and then in the END of the 21st book it should have come all together. On the other hand, with the way you skim the forum, maybe you are doing the same with his books.
No worries Be Happy.

Pappy's finally gettin' a chance to check the forum.
That movie on CBS last night with Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone was by the same guy who wrote the Spenser series, Robert B. Parker. Pappy didn't get to watch it, but he reckons now that Tom's gettin' up in years Pappy could take him in a fair fight should it come to that.
Pappy goes in to Edward McKay's once every couple o' weeks for supplies. No Fabio Pappy books. I noticed the Clive Cussler section, normally chock full o' goodness, has been pretty empty since "Sahara". That's the rare exception when the movie is actually better than the book. I like ol' Clive though. He's as shameless as B.S.
Dang, Bama. Maybe you can sneak up on the library next time before they see you comin'. Go on down and check out Ed McKay's.
Glad to see you dropped by, Lacka. Pappy was wonderin' where you wandered off to.
Pappy's got to check the playground and the TC and CC forums and then it's good night don boy!

I agree with Kris... I barely have time to read the newspapers nowadays...
Pappy, you gotta admit it was pretty cool that Spenser parked his snazzy red sports car in his living room..... (TV version... didn't read the books)

HAHa yeah they published the 21st (well whatever portion of it) so ultimately, i do feel a little disappointed with that looming on the horizon but I enjoy the books nonetheless. I wont be able to put them down until then.

For all you watchers-in-hiding: In case you missed tonight, American Idol show will be from Greensboro next Tuesday. Who knows who we might see. Maybe Fabio Pappy, or one of the himers with a bag on shems head. Now that would be a cultural event. Last edited on Jan 19th, 2006 01:20 am by Starcatchr

I don't usually watch "Idol" til they've gotten down to the end, but will try to catch it next week for the Greensboro show. Anyone in particular I should be looking for? got any segments on party planners or tp cover knitters?

Think we have a couple of locals we all better watch. I am always disapointed in the eliminations, so I watch the beginning and the end, that is all. Will watch the GSO tho, we had a girl from work that auditioned, her voice is great, she did not get selected, I could not believe it. Don't know what these clowns were thinking, she is so good. So should have made it.

Lacka... her spot was taken by the cowboy who sings to his turkeys.
Pappy might not classify American Idol as CULTURE... tee hee!
Glad he's not around!!!

Can't get into the CC forum to reply to Steve so must do it on this one. Read that book. Got it at the Library. Also have had my leg peed on a few times. I believe voters can tell the difference. Somewhere recently I read "Whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed". May we hope that a goodly portion falls upon those most deserving.
