Must readale Browns " Flight of the Old Dog'" techno thriller in the genre of Clancy, but much better because he doesnt tell you how they completely built a B57. gives just enough facts to make you want to join the Air Force, then when the fighting starts glad its just a book.

Pappy hasn't been able to keep up lately, but I've seen some good comments all over.
Good one Starcatchr! While regular Pappy is in trainin' to be a cage fighter, who knows what Fabio Pappy might get into. With his hair, he could probably skip the audition and go straight to the affair with Paula Abdul.
Laws, yes, Crackah, it's culture all right! It ain't Jerry Clower, but it's culture!
ff12, I'll have to check that one out. I agree about Clancy. Way too much info. It's interesting stuff, but it's just too much at once.

Okay Pappy here's a change up... has anyone seen the play WICKED? I've been told it was worth seeing. Going to the big city with my kiddos and wanted to see a good play, any suggestions?

Skiddles, My older macca got that book for Christmas, but hasn't read it yet. I may have to borrow it b/c I'll get tired of waiting for himer!
Carol Kane is on Tony Danza now. She was on "Taxi" w/him as "Simka" (the girlfriend of "Latka," played by Andy Kaufman) and is now in the Broadway production of "Wicked." She plays "Glenda, the Good Witch" (I think, based on the scene they showed) (has been on road with it 11 months and is slated to be with it at least 9 more months). Says it has sold out everywhere, very popular show....
I haven't talked with anyone who has actually seen it, but have heard "thru the grapevine" that it is good....

Thanks Macca. I have been working on tickets for a while now... like you said, ALL SOLD OUT! I might need to kick it up a notch to get them though. I wasn't sure if it was really worth it. hummm... still debating.

Crackah's been offa shem's game here lately not knowing the obvious things, but are we talking about the NYC big city??
If so, I am sooooo jealous. I recieved a trip to NYC for my BD last year and haven't gotten to go yet!! Next week is another Birthday and who knows! Maybe for that birthday I'll not get to go to Europe!!!!!
Haven't heard of that Wicked play. Phantom is good (Of course...cause of the show tune range) and the Lion King too, but sure you've seen those...Did not care for Beauty and the Beast, other than the costumes....
Les Miserables was the best, but of course, too late for that, it's closed...

Weekend of June 4th I think is Barber of Seville in Raleigh. For those of you less informed, that is the opera where he sings Figaro! figaro! I heard its pretty good.
