Fire at Eastern Guilford Ruled Arson! All who are surprised stand on your heads.... Don't see no feet flyin' in the air!  I figured it was probably someone playing around and it got out of hand.....
And now ALL of the students in the county suffer.....
Since nothing else has worked to get relief at Northwest ...... You know, the squeaky wheel and all....
You guys know I'm just really ticked about this and NOT serious about setting a fire....
We are all just VERY FORTUNATE that no one was hurt or killed.

Boy it is winter time out this morning. At least the wind is quiet. The moon shining on the frozen grass makes it look like diamonds spread all over the ground.
Macca I agree with you about Eastern. 2nd floor in the chemistry lab which had not been used for several hours, what caught on fire? Plus didin't I hear early on they were having a problem with trash can fires? We tax payers certainly don't need the added burden of trying to rebuild a school that wasn't on the plans plus the expense of housing them until the new school is built. Also I thought there was a small chance that our kids out here in this area were going to get a break at least for a couple of years when the Northern's got open. You know after 25 years of not building schools maybe the school system was beginning to catch up for awhile. The growth rate is low right now in Guilford County. Ah well !!

PPPPPsssssssttttttt: GANG!!! We done missed a BIG celebration! JIMBO has gotten so prolific that he has passed the 300-mark milestone!!! Musta been somewhere around the time he was posting all those nice penguin lights for us, and we were so busy enjoying the lights that we missed the milestone!!!! Sorry, JIMBO!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

| I have in fact been scuba diving in the aquarium at Epicot. That was pretty cool but alas no Santa suit was available. Off to see the beach be back soon.

Talk about it being COLD out there tonight, I just drove through downtown Stokesdale and saw the Stokesdale Boy Scout Troop out behind the Fire Station cooking their pigs for tomorrow's parade barbecue. They did have a nice looking campfire going for warmth.
What wonderful courage and dedication to be out on a night like this working on behalf of the community.
Good Job Stokesdale Boy Scouts!

I rode over to Kernersville tonight to see if they were as cold as we are.
They are.

It IS COLD out there. I felt so sorry for the Boy Scout Troop out there roasting those pigs that I drove back down to see if there was anything they needed. Some of Pappy's egg nog would come in handy on a night like this, but I imagine the Sheriff wouldn't want us sharing that with the community youth groups. I did volunteer to go back down around 11:30 tonight with a load of hot chocolate and coffee for those staying the night and keeping the fires hot and the pigs roasting.
