WOW! What a great picture Steve! This Founder's Day was the BEST YET don't ya think?
Lots of thanks to Tammy Welborn and her community relations committee for planning the day, to Councilman Bob Williams for planning such a terrific parade and to Mayor Mark Brown and many others who worked for weeks to make the day a huge success!
Pappy, I sure hope you were there today! Whether or not you collected your millyun dollars, I'm sure you went home happy since your hero, Howard Coble was there! He was that cute fella sportin' one of those happy yellow lambourghinis(sp?????)
The entire parade was wonderful but the 2007 Crackah Award goes to the NORTHERN MIDDLE SCHOOL entry! WOW, were they impressive!!!! Thanks to the talents of Dr. V, those sixth graders were actually playing instruments WHILE marching, and they did a FANTASTIC job! Dr. V even played a drum and marched along with her students and that just brought a tear to the Cracker's eye I tell ya! If you think about it, those kids have only been playing since last August and I thought it was just extraordinary! NGMS also had some dancers(steppers?) led by and the ever cheerful Mrs. Davis, who marched in front of the band and chanted - simply fantastic! Lots of staff members showed up as did the principal, Dr. Misher. The new Northern High School deserves an honorable mention as well. Their trucks were beautifully decorated and lots of the staff members came out to greet the community. I was proud of those two schools today.
That's what community spirit is all about folks!

Definitely Crackah !!
A beautiful day, perfect weather, great turnout, fantastic parade......just doesn't get any better.
Parade was tremendous, this was the first time I've driven in a parade, gotten done, parked and still managed to watch a large part of it.
The kiddie rides were great, my grandkids wore them out, all came home with a nice red faces from the sun.

Mornin' All!
Rooster's crowin' and it's not rainin'. That's pretty much the extent of my morning report.
I miss Jane!

I tried to sleep late today Macca, but my eyes flew open at 5:00 and I just couldn't go back to sleep! Ugh! Don't worry though, I've scheduled a nap for this afternoon!

Boy was I glad to get back to warm this afternoon. It was 34 one night in Ohio. Pappy I have tomatoes a little bigger than golf balls on my mater plants. I am excited. See you first thing in the morning.

Mornin' all. Glad to hear Founder's Day was such a success. Pappy was otherwise detained, seein' as how I couldn't make bail...
I hate I missed Howard! Especially Howard in a Lambour...Lambour...fancy yaller sports car. Hee hee! Did the Far Department have to he'p him get out o' that thang after the parade was over?
Glad Jane's back. Golf ball maters! They're so cute when they're that age. Mine are just a leetle bit smaller than that, but they're feisty! They ought to like all this warm weather comin' up.

Cracker, I scheduled a round of golf, 2 rounds of drinks, then a nap today but I think my boss might be bit mad about that. Looks like I will be grinding out another 8-5er.

Mornin' Afternoon and Evenin' All!
Jane, I'm glad you're back! We really missed you!
I think I'm gonna have to send out one of Pappy's scoutin' parties to round Mr. Mike up. He's been missin for quite a while. I didn't see him at the Founder's Day festivities either, but then again, I didn't hang out near the bacon flavored funnel cake truck too much.
And Bama, never fear. Friday Noon is just 3 and 1/2 days away!

Morning All!! It feels like summer out this morning. Humid and warm. Everybody do your rain dance today and maybe we will get some rain to wet down the dirt road and feed the mater plants.
Have a good day. Make somebody smile today.

Well, it sounds like we all need to bring out the bacon so we can find Mr. Mike!!!
Crackah! I noticed when I logged on this morning that you could've had a run on all the recent threads showing if you'd just posted about Ballfields and the Park!! ♥♥♥

Mornin' all. It's lookin' like we might get some scattered rain mebbe.
Yeah, whar is Mr Mike? Did he find a bacon bar to hang out at?
I got in contact with the Chicken (telepathetic'ly) to see if he would wrop a few slabs o' bacon around hisself an' hang out aroun' Scuba Jane's chicken house to lure Mr MIke out in the open. The Chicken's reply was garbled but from the few syllables I could make out ("...you are...[static]...epitome of stupidity...[static]...endangering protected species...") I feel inclined to b'lieve he will not participate.
Mebbe I'll just climb up a mater stalk with some bacon an' set its aroma loose on the breeze.
