Good morning all---TGIF!!!!

Macca, you are doing GREAT as Jane's fill in.

It's very chilly out this morning, the birds are chirping, and that dang ol' woodpecker got me up again at 5:55am

I hope Pappy has his mater stand set up tomorrow, a pot of gold should buy me his gem of a  mater. I will have my bread-lettuce-and BACON with me, ready and waitin' .

Crackah, I hope you don't get mooed at at the Amphi-Teeter! Still that's better than gettin' booed at the Amphitheater! HAW!

Weather report says it will be 73 and sunny tomorrow!! Woo hoo!!

Pappy! I think you should bring several bags so you don't have to haul around huge amounts of cash as people are throwing money at you all day! Maybe you can keep some of the young'uns around to haul it back to car for you throughout the day! Maybe for a small percentage? :D:shock:

Wow, so much to catch up on here.

Macca is doing a wonderful job with himer's Scuba Jane impersonation. Keep up the good work, Macca.

Cracker, I know I volunteered (in the name of science) to go with you and lay down in a pasture with cows, but I will not lay down in an Amphi-Teeter or any other grocery store. Even I have my limits!

Pappy, good one on the "mooed in the Amphi-Teeter" vs. "booed in the amphitheater."

OK, I hate to rub this in, but the Lowes Foods in Oak Ridge sometimes has an olive bar. I guess folks over on the Ridge must have pretty sophisticated tastes when it comes to Mediterranian food. Now I'm with Cracker on this one.... I'm still not convinced how ready I am for an olive bar, but somebody must like it. I will admit that I am very unsophisticated when it comes to choosing my olives (that is not considered a southern vegetable, you know, so my knowledge is limited). I really don't like green ones all that much, and although I love black ones, I'm perfectly happy with the canned ones.

Hmm... I need to check this out. I prefer the green ones.... Where is this olive bar when they have it? How often do they have it? Most importantly, WHAT IS AN OLIVE BAR?:D

Since Food Dawg don't have a Olive Bar mebbe they should counter Amphi-Teeter's threat with a Popeye Bar.

macca, macca, macca.... You need to get out of Madison or wherever you are living these days once in a while and experience the rest of the world. (That's coming from someone who very rarely leaves Oak Ridge, other than to trek over to town council meetings in Summerfield.)

If you ever visit the Lowes Foods, it's over there where the salad bar, rotisserie chicken, etc. is (between the deli and the bakery). I don't know the rhyme or reason behind when they have olives out because, as my family will attest, I avoid the grocery store at all costs (I would send my dog to buy groceries if I could, but he'd just come home with Alpo and dog treats and rawhide chews, none of which I eat).

It is sort of like a salad bar, only it is filled with a smorgasbord of all kinds of olives. Since I really don't know the difference between the types offered, I just see it as I breeze by on the way to the TV dinners. :)

They still make TV dinners??? I've seen displays of them in museums and all (along with what astronauts eat in space), but I didn't know they still made them!:D

ok guys, I am going to venture out and experience this Harris-Amphi-Teeter Olive-Pop-eye Bar. I've clipped my coupons and ready to jump into the sea of olives. I hope to be impressed--anything is better than Food Dawg. What ya know-Summerfield might be catchin' up with Oak Ridge with this Teeter-Dome.

Have a good trip, Grits! Will you see if they have any southern fried olives wrapped in bacon while you're there? You'll be able to tell by how long the line is at the bar.

Well, I had almost forgotten about the NWO Forum brick, but today cruising by the new brick sidewalk, there it was.

What a beautiful brick arrangement !!!!!!!!!

I was told today the letters were engraved in the brick, then the engraving was filled with an epoxy like black to keep the letters very brilliant.

Such a beautiful addition to the park !!!!
