Yea macca... we went on a scout field trip to the TeeterDome at Friendly and the manager told us that it was the largest grocery store in the USA.... I don't know if he had it wrong or not.... either way, it's HUMONGOUS!
That new shopping center did go up fast...... once they got the dirt moved for the zillionth time! I couldn't believe how long it took them to grade the land and get it ready to build on. Once they had it leveled out though, it didn't take any time to get the buildings up. I don't think anything other than the much anticipated Backyard Burger has opened in that mini mall yet, but I'll give ya an updated report tomorrow if I spot something else over there.
I did hear that they were putting up another traffic light at the charter school where those new apartments are being built (nextdoor to the Amphi-Teeter). I think Michael Brandt might have said that at the last council meeting... not 100% sure where I heard it. Traffic thru there is gonna get interesting.

Morning All! For some reason it feels like early morning at the beach this morning. A cool, dry breeze and no dew at all. The birds were happy. Maybe we will get a good rain and then is will be just perfect for Founders Day and/ or a trip to Ohio. We leave in the morning for Columbus and Dayton. It really is a pretty ride although very long.
Everybody have a great day!!

What tumbleweeds??? They'd actually liven the place up!!
Seems as though the folks calling to report seeing smoke are clogging up the 9-1-1 call centers!
I was out earlier and noticed how hazy it was, but didn't have any idea I was seeing tropical smoke!!

They say the wind is gonna come outta the north later on, so mebbe it'll blow that smoke back. Fabio Pappy says, "Smoke follers beauty, so, duh."

Morning all!! Off to Ohio today. I packed my snow boots and gloves. It is plumb chilly out this morning and I figure it will probably be snowing in Ohio.
Everybody have fun on Saturday at Founders day. I will be thinking about you. Know the parade will be wonderful as usual.
See you later.

Glad to see you logged on, Jane! I was afraid you might hit the road without giving us our morning report and encouragement to make our world a better place! (I'm trying to live up to my "signature," but it sure is hard sometimes! )
Hope you have a great trip, ScubaJane!!! We'll miss you on Founder's Day!! ♥♥♥
Anything you want us to do in your honor since you won't be here to do it yourself???

Well, Macca, my name on the water tower? Which reminds me has everybody checked out the bricks at the park. The forum brick looks great. Worked out well. It is amazing though how few bricks a hundred is. I hope as people see them they will want one too and there will be another 100 quickly. Sherrie Joseph has done a fantastic job with that project.

Mornin' All!
Scuba Jane, you have a safe trip and hurry home to us you hear??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I almost forgot to give ya'll my Amphi-TEETER report! I visited the store yesterday and upon entering, noticed that they had maps of the store on hand for those who forget to take their GPS along and might fear getting lost. I am far too cool to carry a GPS or a map and opted to employ the clever tactic of hugging the perimeter of the store figuring that I'd eventually end up back at the front doors. Don't worry, there's plenty to see along the perimeter so don't even think about missing all that stuff in the middle.
The store was lovely and no less than 20 employees spoke to me while I was meandering thru. They had LOTS of stuff that we don't have at our Food Dawg (Except Rachel. They don't have Rachel!). The first example I saw was an OLIVE bar. Now, I find it interesting that Olives require their own bar and I'm gonna be watching that thing to see if it gets much traffic. I was observing that olive bar for a while and thinkin' to myself that Summerfield residents are probably not ready for the olive bar experience. Then later in the evening, the cracker spouse came in after visiting the Amphi-Teeter and lo and behold himmer was toting a container of olives that had been carefully selected at the Teeter olive bar. Perhaps I'm wrong and Summerfield has been needing one of those all along.
Anyway, after finally making my way back to the front doors, the cashiers were fighting over who would check me out. You'd have thought they were workin' on commission or something! William W. (Of Westridge-Teeter fame) won the battle and was very polite and efficient. I'll be lookin' for him next time I visit. He might turn out to be my "Teeter Rachel" you never know!
Triple coupons this weekend! Start clipping!
Mornin' all. Have a safe trip, Scuba Jane.
Glad you made it back from your trip, Crackah. Hee hee! An olive bar, huh? I dunno.
Hey, Crackah, wonder what would happen if you laid down in the floor at the Amphi-Teeter. Would all the cash register people come runnin' over an' stand around lookin' down atcha? Hee hee! They might think you're just a weary traveler needin' a rest after a trek over to the olive bar. Hee hee!
Okay, If anyone is going to fill in for Jane, we're already behind! Ummmm.... Haven't been outside yet, but the TV folks say it's 48 degrees, so I'd say it's pretty cool out.
Don't have any chicks or horses, but my dog is quiet right now and the cats aren't scratching at the door, so things are pretty quiet!
The flowers in my garden look pretty through my windows that I need to wash -- Oooopppsss! Spoke too soon! That mama cat must've seen me doin' my research! Now she's staring back at me -- ready to pounce as soon as the door opens!! Feed me! Feed me! Feed me!!
Everybody have a great day and do something nice for somebody!!
(Hope Jane has a great trip!)
Don't forget Founder's Day tomorrow!! Parade starts at 10!! Can't wait!!
