Pappy's cat just came inside with a updated forecast. She says, "It's sleetin' or somethin' out yonder. Hey, I smell bacon."

No bacon smells coming from up here on Highway 68 but there is some of that icy precipitation falling from the sky. I don't know whether or not it ever sleets and ices cats and dogs, but I do know two dogs who wanted to come inside and lay by the fire.

Let's just hope the power stays on!

Pappy, if I was Santa Claus I'd name one of the reindeer 'Rasher' instead of Dasher in your honor!

Pappy, perhaps it's that Stokesdale is a little more elevated than you'uns O'er in the 'Field.

Some folks 'round here is always a little higher than others.

Thanks Macca and congratulations on your 3000!

Here we have the fire started, the salt is out, the chili warming and the kids are doing their best dancing to get them at least a school delay.
