There sure have been some good football games this weekend! So now we have The Patriots, Bears, Saints and Colts to battle it out next week! So, can the Patriots ride the Colts in Indianapolis to victory? Can the Saints bear to face the Bears in Chicago?
What is the prevailing wisdon on the forum about this? Who will be in the Super Bowl?
HEY, NO TAKERS ON MY CHALLENGE???
These games are coming up this weekend!!! NO ONE is going to watch 'em???
My guess is that the Patriots and Bears will meet in the Super Bowl. (Yeah, I know, I'm really goin' out on a limb here! Dancin' all the way!!) ♥♥♥

You got it, Jane!! 'Course, they probably venture out to see what's causing all the tremors! Probably think there's a earthquake or something!!

Mornin' all. Pappy thinks Friday is overrated. It's nuthin' compared to Sat'day, in my always humble opinion. Still, I'm glad it's Friday. I reckon I'll live in Friday till Sat'day comes along.

Pappy was able to sneak a little bacon in on my diet this mornin'. It's the first bacon I've had since the last time I had bacon. Hee hee!

Congrats to Steve-O and belated congrats to Macca on the milestones!
Watched Van Denton tonight. I'm debating whether or not to watch him anymore if he's gonna spout such garbage. He's predicting I-C-E for Sunday. Did any of the other weather people predict something happier? I'm weatherperson shopping as of tonight.
Discussion Topic:
Also saw a story on how a California politician is trying to get a bill passed making it illegal to spank your younguns. Not sure if I totally agree with that or not. I don't spank my younguns, as a general rule (Kris' pink curlers in front of the high school method works just fine for me ) however, my kids KNOW I can, and better yet, they THINK I will.
News said that Parents could be charged w/ a misdemeanor and jailed for up to a year if they whop their younguns. What do you think about that???
Should parents be forced to spare the rod?

Sorry macca. I'm not ignoring. I didn't even know who was playing until you told us! I remembered last week that it was nearing "Stupidbowl" time again and so I asked a football fan if the Panthers were going to be in it so I could start being interested . When he laughed me out of the room, I figured that was my answer and I quickly lost interest again.
Just for fun, I'll make my prediction. I say Patriots and Saints go to the Stupidbowl and the Patriots win it. (This pick was not based on any football knowledge AT ALL. I picked the Patriots in honor of Mike's boy!! )

Interesting question - might justify it's own separate topic.
I'll pull a "Clinton" on this one - can you define the word "spank". There are already laws in effect regarding "child abuse", which can be extended to cover excessive spanking, seems like this pol is just trying to make a name for himmer self.
Kids are smart, to put a law in effect like this, can usurp parental authority, and result in situations in the home where kids get defiant toward the parental authority, refuse to obey, and enables the threat "you spank me and I'll call the cops".
Parents are supposed to love & guide their children. They don't need the law inside their homes telling them how. The Bible tells them what the creator intended, if they will just read it.

I guess I join Mike's ranks now (where bacon's concerned)
Had one of them cholesterol screenings run at work where it's free, came back with all the numbers wrong. I still think I got somebody elses.
Went to the Doctor, he said "here's your new diet, and by the way if you dropped 20 lbs, lots of your troubles would go away" Heck, I worked a lifetime to put on them 20#, they're part of me, they're with me everywhere I go, and now I'm supposed to part with them?????
Guess what ain't on the diet??????? so now on the grand-daughter weekends, I'm going to have to cook bacon, smell bacon, handle bacon...........and watch my angel EAT IT ALL !!!!
There oughtta be a law against it!!!! If I can't eat it, it don't come in my house.
Maybe if I cheat when nobody's home to see it????????
