Uh-oh...I might need to call the Macca Support Hotline fer that'n. Pappy's bein' tempted by chocolate. (In other words, Pappy's awake.)

PAPPY! STEP AWAY FROM THE CHOCOLATE!!!!

Macca, shouldn't that be written as:

PAPPY! STEP AWAY FROM THAT CHOCOLATE AND PUT YOUR HANDS UP WHERE WE CAN SEE 'EM

(I'm not suggesting that Pappy would ever step away from chocolate with his hands full but we must take into consideration such possibilities)

Good point, JIMBO!! I guess Pappy & I ought to engage your help in helping us lead healthier lives this year!! ♥♥♥

But Jimbo! You know it's easier to tell someone else what to do/how to do it than it is to do it yourself!! :D ♥♥♥

Macca, I 'spect most all of us are fairly well qualified to do that. It does seem to come with experience though doesn't it?

Maybe I could just be the counselor in charge of 'spirits' for you and Pappy this year, if you'uns just share with me your favorite liquid spirit flavors. I'll let Mr. Mike be in charge of recommendin' the menu from the feedbag but I'll provide the 'toasts'.

If you ever write a book, let me know. I love your writing style!

And now for the million dollar question: Are we going artificial or real for next year?

I'm thinkin' you'll go real!

Anyway, thank you for the wonderful story and I hope you have made a full recovery at this point.

Perhaps after that experience, Lacka may elect not to go with a Christmas tree at all next year. Himmers could simply hang a photo of a decorated Christmas tree over the mantle.

Artificial :(

The problem Jim and SFRD is that the oldest little Lacka is allergic to everything that grows.  I have known this for several years and both little Lackas have begged me to not get a artificial tree.  They say "Its just not Christmas".

Before we moved to the house we live in now we had a house where we could put the tree on a sun porch, so that worked just fine.  I don't have a sun porch now, but I do still have a tree on my carport. It remains in the 3 sec state rolled over to the side in the same spot where it landed a few days ago. Do you think I could just leave it there until next year?

Hey maybe nobody would notice, hum {thinking}  I could put it back together (not near as hard as taking it apart) slide it over in the corner and gently drape the bag, you know like the designers do, you remember the bag, the little fancy number with wheels.... yep drape the bag over the top and maybe nobody would notice it.  The carport is the entrance that everyone uses {thinking again}  Maybe I could use it like a coat rack.  I could put it back to gether and just sit it over in the natural area.  Right beside my bench, I bet nobody would even see those wires and lights.  I think it would look very natural there.

Maybe I will take suggestions from my forum friends.  If we get some good suggestions we could just vote.  Please hurry, I am having to step over this thing to get into the house.

Howdy!  I was sorta waitin' for ya'll to get off the new year's health kick (veggies???:() or at least until my big ol' box of Andes Mints was all gone before I came back so ya'll wouldn't smell them on my breath! :D

Lacka.... I can see you now... suspended on the tree in the "Ally McBeal" pose.  Cracked me up!

I think your idea of puttin' the tree in your natural area until next year is a good one, but won't all those ornament hooks dangling from the branches sort of look UN natural when they glisten (not the sweat type glisten... the glimmer type glisten) in the sun?

Well, dang, Lacka!!! I think the solution is obvious!!!

Put it back together, plug it in and then decorate it throughout the year for various seasons.... You know ♥♥♥ for Valentine's Day!!! Pastels for Spring/Easter!! Red, White and Blue for July 4/Summer! Fall colors for fall, then Halloween ornaments for Halloween!!! And then you're back to Christmas!!! ♥♥♥
