Thanks for the link Steve. It's pretty funny to read about but I bet it was scary going on.

Our poor Crackah all laid up with ornithoscelidaphobia and then come to find out that the medical community is split over any potential cure.

My thoughts are with you Crackah and you sure are missed around here. Here's hoping you're feeling better by now. Please Get Well Soon, I don't want you sick on my birthday (January 1)

(Rumor has it that Pappy has already started celebratin' a day ahead of time. 'Course it doesn't take much to git Pappy celebratin' either! 'Course I'm not sure whether Pappy is celebratin' your getting well or 'self getting older.)

HAPPY NEW YEARS ALL!

She said that she was seated by a passenger who had obviously had too much to drink, but the crew served him more alcohol. He passed out on her -- she had to keep pushing his head off of her, and tried to shield her young daughter from him. He spilled her soft drink on her, staggered along the aisle to and from the bathroom and opened several bags from the overhead compartment b/c he couldn't remember which one was his. She said the flight was packed so she couldn't ask the crew to move her or him.... I think she should lodge a complaint with the airline!

Macca, actually in those days, being the first born in any year was supposedly a big deal and the first mother to give birth was given a great number of nice gifts, such as a large supply of diapers and baby food, baby clothes, etc.

Of course, Mister Never Been On Time In His Life not only cost his parents a tax deduction for 1949 by being born a few hours late, but actually was the 2nd baby born in Greensboro in 1950, in the old St. Leo's Hospital BTW.

I don't remember any celebratin' but I was a little young at the time. ;) But I have tried to make up for it ever since!

Yeah, I've heard of folks doin' all kinds of things to bring on labor so they could get that tax deduction -- and not have the kid born after the first of the year when it is so near the end of the prior one! :D:shock::D

So, you're gonna be the big 5-7, huh! Glad I'm just 2-9! We'll help you celebrate!!! What's the official time we should start singing???♥♥♥

Well I too am 2-9 with 28 years of experience.

Assuming you're drinking champagne, midnight will be soon enough for the sing fest! And don't forget your party hat!

Colorado Woman Selling Snow on eBay
The Associated Press

LOVELAND, Colo. | As if Colorado residents don't have enough snow to dig out from, one resident is offering more for a price on eBay. Starting bids were holding steady Friday at 99 cents for snow from "Blizzard I and Blizzard II" being offered by Mary Walker. She and husband, Jim, got the idea for selling snow after shoveling mounds from two storms a week apart that together dumped more than 4 feet along the Front Range.

"I figured eBay has ghosts and all sorts of weird stuff, so why not snow?" said Walker, who teaches business workshops on employee communications.

How much snow 99 cents or whatever the winning bid gets depends. Walker's auction notice suggests avoiding shipping and handling charges by stopping by their home and picking it up - in a dump truck.

Only 10 offerings of snow are available and the proceeds are earmarked for a used snowblower for Jim or a pair of shovels.

She says she doesn't really expect to find a buyer for their blizzard overstock.

"We just wanted to just give some folks a laugh," she said.

Mornin' Ya'll.

Wonder if we could get her to send a little snow our way?
What if we throw a winter party and not a single flake shows up?

Another year and another year older......<sigh>

Let's make 2007 the best one yet!
