Morning All!! Grits did you find out what Pappy is feeding his Tomatoes. My tomatoes are huddled in the garden waiting for the warm weather to come back. This is known as 'Blackberry Winter" It is not unusually to have a cold snap each year when the blackberries are blooming. Actually some years cold enough we get snow flurries. One year we went to Boone to see our daughter on May 4th and they had 6 inches of snow. That was pretty amazing. Could be worse here.
The best news of all is it is Saturday. I will wave to you at the farmers market in a bit. Have a great day.

Mornin' all. Rain, rain. Too wet to do much outside. Mebbe I'll stay inside an' see if I can find a Mowin' Channel to watch.

All I can say is Pappy better hope it doesn't get too cold for his Blackberry XXX. I saw alot of steel in the woods around his property. Oh and yes, very strange acting critters and folks I should say.

I ventured out to the Farmer's Market .... I didn't know where the webcams were so I just walked around and waved periodically in case Pappy was watchin'. I didn't care whether people thought I was nutty or not.
I keep forgettin' to post this... Although maybe I have in the past and it's just that no one pays attention to me!!!
The web site for the Piedmont Triad Farmer's Market (http://www.ncagr.com/markets/facilit/farmark/triad/index.htm) has a place to click on the Web Cam on its home page. Looks like there are 2, one of which is in the "Farmer's Area #1".....

We might want to keep this secret to ourselves. Somebody might be asking us to lye down in a pasture full of cows.Last edited on May 5th, 2007 11:00 pm by GRITS

Howdy, y'all. Macca, are you an' Grits behavin'?
Haw, it was chilly out yonder today. I was out lookin' fer some telephone poles to stake my mater plants with when a scientist feller from NASA called. He said there was somethin' causin' a disruption with the orbits of some satellites an' wondered if I was raisin' maters this year. Hee hee! Them maters is so massive they're startin' to exert a noticeable gravitational pull o' their own. I reckon I better back off a notch er two on the mixxx.

Too funny, FatPappy! Sounds as though you should consider setting up a roadside stand of your own! You could have one table for your tomato crop, and then just direct folks to secret locations for the "medicine." That's how I hear it was here in Stokesdale "back in the day." People would go to the "store" and pay their money and then be directed to a tree stump or stand of trees or whatever to pick up the "medicine." That way, if any officials showed up, folks could claim they didn't know nothin' 'bout nothin'!
