Yeah, an' there was other folks runnin' around dressed like scissors, trying to cut 'em up! Yuck, yuck!! Funneeee, Steve-o!!
I guess, in order to be entirely accurate, I SHOULD have said they were cute in their "newspaper staff" costumes!!! They dressed the way we've seen newspaper staff portrayed in the "old days" of the biz.... ♥♥♥

10,000! Yee Haw!
Well, me an' a quorum o' Pappies are gonna have a closed session committee meetin' in my "office" to draft a non-bindin' resolution o' excuses as to why I cain't visit the in-laws today.
Mammy has made a motion that if I wanna think up excuses, I can think 'em up on the way to the in-laws' place. The motion was a swift motion made toward my haid with a blunt object, renderin' my left eye a closed session while a quorum o' Pappies danced in the air above my haid.
Motion carries. Hee hee!

Pappy, maybe you could use the Insanity De-Fence. Tell Mammy you're just crazy o'er them relatives of hers.
Or just tell her you needs more time to study up on dem foreign relations.
The good thang about friends is you gits to pick your friends. Them others you're sorta stuck with.

Great idea!
Thanks!

Better watch out, Steve-o! You know how you tend to be outnumbered real quick!!!
Also!!! You wouldn't really get rid of Monty would you???
Oh, Steve!!! You know what??!!?? I'm sure there are TONS of folks (who weren't around in the beginning of MAAN) who don't have a clue who Monty is, or how he got his name!!! Tell us the story, please, please, please -- Grampa Steve!!! ♥♥♥
No, I don't think I could part with Monty, he's been around since the beginning.
Monty's name........for those of you who weren't around in the early days....I was in Mexico and had gotten ahold of something that didn't set well with me. I was frequenting the water closet, there was some guy last name "Revenge", first name "Monteczuma" (and no wise cracks about is there a C in Monteczuma, I don't know, but it looks good) that had a firm grip on me, wouldn't let go. I nicknamed it Monty.
About that time, this frog appears on the forum. It was green (like me at the time), and constantly jumping up (like me at the time). So it only seemed fitting to name the frog Monty, and adopt him as the forum mascot.
In the past year, Monty has been quite a character, he used an "Off Topic" sign a few times when topics strayed. At first some folks got a bit miffed, then it became a badge of honor and everybody started trying to get one, so he put his sign away (for now). Then he pro-created right on the forum, we had little frogs of all colors jumping around.
Since he got promoted to Avatar, and writes all of my postings, he's been behaving himself.
