All right, y'all had yer chance. Time fer a Pappy rampage.

The practice o' memorizin' the political party line and equatin' that with actual thinkin' really bothers me! I can understand the appeal, though. It does make life easier for those who practice that partic'lar brand o' religion. Just pull out the appropriate pre-packaged thought and apply it as if you know what you're talkin' about! No assembly required! No reasonin' needed! Then you too can live a comfortable life as a zombie slave aboard the Borg ship flyin' around the galaxy assimilatin' those too weak-minded to resist, all the while pretendin' to yourself and others that you're always right and anybody who disagrees are Beelzebub's young'uns.

It makes reachin' a consensus and movin' forward with ANYTHANG impossible, but don't worry--it's not your fault, it's ever'body else's.

(Y'all shouldn't leave me alone too long. I get myse'f in trouble...)

Such beautiful writing Pappy. Perhaps inciteful to some, but it should be insightful to all.

I think it deserves the Hemingway Award For Best Non-Fiction of the Year.

I simply don't know how you do it Pappy, but you sure is smart! Glad to have you as my friend!

Eat up and enjoy!

Pappy was wanderin' back through MAAN lookin' fer trouble when I came across this Macca post. I noticed there was another birthday on Oct. 9 besides John Lennon's that I don't remember celebratin', so while Skiddles has got the birthday cake icin' out...

Happy Birthday, Macca!

I would like to comment on the Candidate Forum.... thanks to all who participated first of all!  The most participated forum was that of the Dist 3 Co Commissioner.  Ray Riffe really put his words out for all to see!  It would be great if 1/2 of the others participated as much.  Kudos to Ray & Susan on that forum.   :D

Also on the Superior Court Judge, Susan Bray & Stuart Albright also participated... kudos to both of you as well! :D

For Clerk of Superior Court, Mr. Swanson posted.

On the Sheriff page, thanks to BJ for his posting.

On the DA page, Wendel Sawyer posted as well.

As for the rest of you... it doesn't take but a minute to log on & make a quick comment or copy & paste what you stand for.  Is this the kind of service we can anticipate from these folks?  No one is more busy than our Sheriff... so that is no excuse!  We should find "attack" Pappy & sic him on you for your lax participation! :X Get 'em boy! :X

That candidate that the CC's are supporting posted DT.  OHale.  Also their choice for sheriff, Berkley Blanks signed up but never posted (I don't think.... maybe I'd better go check).
