I'm glad to hear you got a biscuit. I don't want to know what kind of road kill you put on it!  ;)

thank you for the birthday party. I have been monitoring the going ons from my condo at Carolina beach since last Thursday. The weather has been gorgeous. We have picked out the tile to redo the floors and bought a new refrig.
The old refrig had a seal hanging out the bottom of the door. A number of years ago Clark and I replaced a seal on an old refrig and we decided this time that a new refrig was cheaper than a divorce.

Other than walking a lot and eating sea food nothing of much importance has been going on with me.

The refrig is big. The ice is frozen so all is good. The tile will be picked up on Friday so that my son in law and friend can lay it in a couple of weeks. This place will look great with new tile floors. We found the neatest place today where you can take your dog in and wash them. I think we need one of these places in Summerfield.

Steve- The dogs are suppose to walk up a walk and enter in this large tub with part of the side lifted out. The tub is about waist high then put the piece back in the tub, hook the dog to the wall, and start washing. Wonderful sprayer with nice warm water, lots of soap. Oh plastic aprons for the washer people. Then after you have washed and rinsed you dry the dog with towels and move over to a table with a heavy duty dryer and dry the dog. I can't say the dog was terribly excited about all this but she would quickly learn the routine I think if we had a facility close by. For a large dog it was 16 dollars. I think we need one in the Northwest area.

Jane, what you describe is interesting, but for dogs who need a 'regular bath' it seems like it could become rather costly.

Having two Golden Retrivers, it helps that they both LOVE water and with creeks and ponds around, they find their way to natural baths on a VERY frequent basis. On top of that, I keep a couple of 'kiddie pools' from Walmart in the yard with clean water for them to bathe and luxuriate in, which they do quite often (usually one or more times a day, especially in the summer).

Of course, your description of the facility at the beach sounds appealing and like it would come in handy in the winter and on days like the past few when it has been COLD COLD COLD.

Of course, when they get "skunked" (which usually happens about once a year), neither your system nor mine is going to be all that efficient in sanitizing and deodorizing the pooch!
