Ok Macca... I'll do my best not to spoil the movie, but suffice it to say that Johnny Depp was born to play Jack Sparrow!
It was good. A lot slimier and scarier than the first one and the bad guys had a lot more tentacles, but Cap'n Jack's still got it going on! Orlando ain't so bad either! What?? Keira Knightly was in this movie??? Didn't notice her..... Just kidding... She did an ok job herself.
Interesting how they are tying all the movies together.
Let's just say that the ending leaves you wishing you could walk next door to see the third movie.
Hurry and see it Macca!!!!!!!

Speakin' o' movie quotes, here's another o' Pappy's favorites. I think it's from "The Verdict", with Paul Newman as a hard-drinkin' lawyer. Speakin' of his bloodshot eyes he says, "I cut myself shavin' this mornin' and my eyes almost cleared up." Hee hee!
Another'n from "Raising Arizona"..."You're young, you got yer health, what do you want with a job?"

I don't know how ya'll remember those quotes. I can't do it. We have movies here that the kids have watched a zillion times (pirates included) and I couldn't tell ya one single word that they say. Well, not verbatim anyway.
So I just read the first part of Macca's quote over on MAAN... "you're the worst pirate I've ever heard of" or what ever that was...I'm sitting here, I read it outloud and the kids pipe in and finish the quote... with the british accent. Unreal.
Am I the only one who can't remember quotes???

There's just one movie that I can quote.......
My favorites....
"I don't know if we each have a destiny or if we're all just floatin' around accidental-like on a breeze. But I think maybe it's both, maybe both happening at the same time."
"They said it was a million dollar wound but the army must keep that money 'cause I still ain't seen a nickel of that million dollars."
"The only good thing about being wounded in the buttocks is the ice cream. They gave me all the ice cream I could eat."
"My mama always said you got to put the past behind you before you can move on."
"Sometimes I guess there just aren't enough rocks."
As for the movie of current discussion.....ya'll don't ban me from the forum but......I fell asleep during the first one. Not really a JD fan. sorry

Going out on a limb here Kris..... were those quotes from Forest Gump? If I'm wrong then I've just validated the fact that I'm a movie quote dummy.
Oh... and don't tell ♥♥♥ Macca ♥♥♥ but I'm not really a JD fan either EXCEPT for pirates and I liked him in Finding Neverland.... Even with Macca's explanations and all that true love flowing, I just can't see the "ART" in Edward Scissorhands......

Speaking of Art..... I went to this show at a local Art Gallery the other night. Wine was flowing freely. Guess I didn't drink enough cause I just didn't get the point of the two headed cow picture.
Reminded me of this episode of Murphy Brown... Eldon (The painter) was having an "art show." Have I told ya'll this??? can't remember.
Anyway, Eldon worked and worked on his painting and the night of the show, the room was empty except for a "no smoking" sign standing in the center of the room.
The patrons came in and ooh'd and aah'd over the no smoking sign.
Eldon's art was the mural on the ceiling that no one ever looked at.
When I saw the picture of the two headed cow, and I realized that people were oohing and aahing over it, I had to wonder if it wasn't just peer pressure or some other "art phenomena" that I don't get.
