Unfortunately, right now Pappy's got a few deliveries to make his own self.

"And there was moonshine, moonshine, quench the devil's thirst, Lawmen swore they got him but the devil got him first..."

I'm not showing my age, am I?

BTW, my empties are sitting out on the porch, Pappy.

Thanks, Pappy, for supplying the lyrics of the first part of the chorus. I couldn't quite remember this part (must be the dementia setting in because of my age, Steve.:P) I didn't want to say, "And there was thunder, thunder, over Thunder Road, Do do do do do do and white lightnin' was his load." Then I'd be showing my ignorance (more than normal, that is.)

Just read online that the creator of Desperate Housewives has vowed to return it to the "wicked comedy" it was during the first season. A poll shows that the majority of people who watch it think the first season was by far better than the second. I'm certainly hoping they can do that!! ♥♥♥

Me too macca! I loved the first season.  Last season was a yawner....

Can't wait for Grey's to premiere.  They're moving to Thursday you know...

Saw a preview for a new fall show called "Friday Night Lights".

Don't know if it'll be any good but I think I caught a glimpse of Gary from Early Edition in it.  I love him you know......

Not sure if the cat is costarring....;)

I think I'll rent a movie this weekend... Any suggestions?

Speaking of Movies... I saw the preview for the Miami Vice movie. Didn't see a pink shirt or white suit  in the whole clip.  Looks like it's gonna be a lot "darker" than the tv version.

So, Crackah! Did you rent a movie???♥♥♥

As for, Miami Vice, it doesn't sound as though it's getting such great reviews, pink shirts or not..... I found a new network on our satellite, Sleuth. It carries shows such as MV, and I have caught a couple of episodes. Didn't take me long to figure out why I never watched it when it was on originally. Too violent and too graphic for me....

Yeah, but what about Crockett and Tubbs in their shirts unbuttoned halfway down their chests or wearing the latest style of a t-shirt and blazer together. Ah..... those were the days! To tell the truth I didn't really watch MV much either. I think it was on the same night as Dallas and Falcon Crest, both of which I loved.

Did I hear someone say, "TRIVIA!"???? ♥♥♥

I guess we all know what J.R. & SueEllen's son's name was (yes?), but what was Bobby and Pam's son's name????

OH! I love trivia!

Now, about that kid.....he had a name??? I've been racking my brain.  I remember lots of names.....John Ross, Lucy and Mitch, and even Afton Cooper but I believe you've stumped the chump on this one macca...... Can I get half credit for knowing that Gary and Val's kids were Betsy and Bobby???

Of course I could google it but that wouldn't be fair.

Surely his name wasn't Jock!!!???!!!

I've been meaning to mention this but I couldn't figure out where to post it....It's about the Hardees commercials. Since I don't eat at Hardees (ugh) I decided that I couldn't post it on the Restaurant review forum and the cultural merit of their advertising campaign earned them a mention on Bullwinkles Corner.

Has anyone seen them??? They are fantabulous!

One is about where to buy good "cheese paper" and this guy chats about how good the Hardees cheese paper is while he's gnawing the bits of cheese left from his burger off the wrapper.  It's a hoot.

The others are my favorites... One is done to the Milkshake song by Kelis and the other is done to Sean Paul's Shake that thing.  They are GREAT!!!  There are these cows standing there minding their own business and these buff lookin' John Deere type fellas approach the cows very dramatically and commence to shakin' them to the music.

Those jiggly udders just kill me!!!! Watch for them if you haven't seen em!

I might have to choke down a Hardee Burger one day to see if they've improved since the 80's. :D
