Isn't that Leonard Simpson fella on News 2? I know I've seen him but I can't remember where.
Leonard Simpson used to be a news reporter (and a very good one) about 20 to 25 years ago at Channel 2 WFMY. He left there and worked a couple of other stations in the GSO/HP/WS market but I am not sure where (or if he still reporting) he is these days.

Oh yeah, now that you mention it, I think he may be in some kind of PR role with a local agency or something.... maybe a spokesman for them... seems like I've seen him on TV recently in conjunction with some group... ♥♥♥

Thanks Macca for making me put on my 'thinking cap' and doing a little more research on where Leonard is and what he's doing these days.
Here's the scoop: Leonard Simpson is now working as a spokesman/television resource for the Guilford County Schools system. That's where we both may have seen him recently.

Yes. And I don't know about you, but I am more than shocked, repulsed, disgusted, and angered by what I have read.
Without regard to what originally started this whole mess (David Wray's resignation/firing), it seems to me that they need to do a clean sweep of much of the Greensboro Police Department. The cover up of malfeasance in the GPD by the Greensboro City Manager and Greensboro Mayor rank right along beside the Republican Congressional Leadership coverup in Washington of Congressman Foley's disgusting and disturbing advances towards congressional pages.Last edited on Oct 7th, 2006 12:29 am by Jim Flynt

spoken straight from MY heart Jim!
does the word "political" ring any bells??? looks like to me the Feds might be more involved than anyone would guess... and Wray just can't SAY anything.... i'm sure it will all come out soon! personally, seeing the city mgr on TV kinda made me SICK!

Does the phrase, 'the Gang that couldn't shoot straight come to mind'?
Oops. I may have sorta kinda used that same expression or similar vernacular under another thread in my comments to Crackah about his impending visit to a STC meeting.

what gets me Mr. Jim is they are STILL painting Wray as "the bad guy"
is it me or are they backing the wrong guy?

It sure seems that way to me too at this point. It will be interesting to see as this story continues to unfold whether Bledsoe arrives at the same conclusion (which sure doesn't seem to be the ways things are pointing now) and if the City of Greensboro had another story line, why they aren't sharing that story line with citizens.
What is coming out in the press certainly should be an embarrassment to the City of Greensboro and should be of concern to anyone expecting decency and integrity from the Greensboro Police Department.
I'm just not sure whether young teenagers would be more unsafe with some of our congressmen or with some of the Greensboro police officers. Probably a toss-up at best, which is scary when you think about it.

Has anyone seen the news channel on cable Channel 14? The spoose had it tuned in this morning and I've never seen it. Evidently it's all day local news.
