Wellllllllll that's why I didn't watch "Lost" in the first place!  Now I've evidently missed the biggest show to hit TV since Beaver!

Can't stand to be out of the loop.  Hate to say it, but I think I'd give up the forum before giving up my TV shows.

They invented that idiot box just for folks like me.

I just started back to watchin' the CBS Evenin' News after Dan "Frog on a Hot Rock" Rather cut outta there. I really liked ol' Bob Scheifer. He's a real human bein' amongst a bunch o' "on air personalities."

Then what happens?

They "improve" thangs by bringin' Katie Couric in with a fancy News Variety Show. She even asked for viewer input on what her sign-off should be! Who cares? I'll wait an' see how it develops. I reckon they're tryin' to compete with other "reality shows".

Oh, well...there's always Jim Lehrer an' Ray Suarez.

I'm a morning news type of person myself which explains why I NEVER know what's going on in the world. I'm usually meetin' or runnin' youngun's when the evenin' news comes on so I miss a lot.

I love to watch ol' FOX 8 Roy in the mornin' but can't stand all the exercise and fashion fillers that they stick into those local shows.

I'm gonna shop for a new station..... I like to watch Imus in the morning sometimes but lots of times his stuff goes sailin' right over my head!

Clearin' cobwebs outta Bullwinkle's corner!!!

*cough* *cough*

Watched a new show called "Heroes" last week...

I thought it was gonna be one of those Third watch/ER type shows.

For anyone who likes comic book kinda stuff you'd love this show...  A seemingly random bunch of people are figuring out that they have superpowers and I reckon they are gonna set about saving the world.

I think it comes on again tonight if anyone is interested.

Not sure I'll be sticking with this one. :?

Hey Kris!!!!  I saw the trailer for that movie at the theater a while back and couldn't for the life of me remember the name of it!  Thanks for reminding me of it!!!

You MUST come back and chat about Lost with me after the Season Premiere!!!!   I can't recruit anymore of these folks to get Lost with me.

I think it'd be right up Pappy's alley and probably macca's too but they don't want to play catch up and I can't blame them.

Once I rented and watched the first 2 episodes of season 1 I was hooked!!!!

Isn't that Leonard Simpson fella on News 2?  I know I've seen him but I can't remember where.  He always shows up to SFTC meetings with the Town Core People, which means BS has his ear.

If he's not any better at sniffin' out the truth of a situation, then I'm not sure I want to watch him!

Oops!  Sorry!  Didn't mean to spread politickin' germs in here!!!

Crackah, for those of us naive in the ways of Summerfield power and politics, what does your phrase "town core people" mean?

Who is this group of people? (A generic description will suffice).

Muchas gracias mi amigo.

The male anchor on Channel 2 in the mornings is Jay Rickerts, whose family lives at Wilson Farms and whose kids attend Stokesdale and NWMS. His wife teaches at NWMS. Kent Bates is on the evening news... I believe Leonard Simpson is one of their reporters. Rosemary Plybon graduated from Northwest, but I don't know if she still lives in this area. ♥♥♥
