There was another good one on Fleming Rd, just south of Lewiston this am.

Pickup truck, must have been flying, coming north, went off the road, thru a bunch of brush, managed to hit a telephone pole that had to be a good 75 ft off the road.  Anybody driving sane-ly would have been stopped as soon as they hit the brush.

This guy deserved the "Dilbert" award.

Dog Gone! Been out with a back problem and lookee what I missed!!!!

So much I want to comment on!

Euson~~ LOL on the scarf for Skiddles' flappy eared doggie!   I do hope you will use a rainbow of fruity colors to further divert Steve's attention away from the non-seatbelt usage when you knit it!

That penguin video is the funniest thing I've seen on here... I literally snort everytime I scroll past it.  I HOPE you all can see that!!! It reminds me of me and my sister growing up....Me being the one on the right of course.

Euson and Bama~~ Our family also refers to FL as the Food Dawg, though we don't know why. None of us work there, but do have to bag our own groceries quite frequently.

Bama ~~ LOL on the Mastercard Commercial thing, I could see your jeep (Whew! close one!) andas for my running to the food dawg when I hear the forecast, it's not cause I'm a believer, it's because I am a WISHER who always WISHES for SNOW! (I never wish for ice though cause I prefer the standard method of flushing.)

macca~~ I do hope the nephew came through unscathed. What an interesting story.

gottobeme  ~~ Well, how do you do? Welcome to the forum! (Bama is the official welcome wagoneer on this page) Hope to hear more from you in the future!

Back to the subject at hand: I saw no road rage and to my knowledge I caused no road rage since that last episode, but I felt that I had to mention road rage (the forum topic)  in this post somewhere! So consider it mentioned.

oh... and Bama... wasn't Timothy Leary the joker who referred to television as "a vast wasteland?" What a dolt. Whatever would Euson do while knitting scarves without the desperate housewives??

Bama,
Sorry to be so long commenting on your Jeep pic, but it's been kinda hectic lately! Yes, I could actually see it!

I have to admit that, until you pointed out the skid marks, I could've sworn that was a deer flung across the top of the jeep! In fact, I was wondering if that was the cause of the mishap. Then it all became clearer to me... Maybe I need to get my vision checked again...

Also, Timothy Leary (who also dropped acid, so they say) dropped out of the picture about 10 years ago...that is to say, he passed away/bought the farm/is pushing up daisies...

Hey macca.... Didn't Mr. Leary coin some kind of phrase about tuning in and dropping out or something???  I think his brain was a vast wasteland....probably caused by the acid droppin'.....

Figured since Bama is probably taking the weekend off, I could ask something totally off topic....He'll never know.....tee hee!

It is funny how you have a mental picture of the person. At first I was thinking I agree with you, but there are a few changes. I don't think I've said much in this forum to give away my gender, but then I realize in a posting real early on I think I did....

My guesses are

Male

Bubba -- probably just stereotyping b/c of name

Cracker

Steve

Pappy

Ponderapond

Thunder

Female

Euson

Belle

Skiddles

DoggetJA

gottobeme

Unknown

Bama

Starcatcher

macca -- if you can list yourself as "unknown" so can I!

Zippity

Bama's just going to have to learn not to leave us unsupervised!:cool:

CRACKER/BAMA !!!!!

I actually have a "Road Rage" posting!!!

When you see someone driving and you have to lay on your horn to get their attention, throw some peppermint and cinnamon sticks at them too! I heard on one of them health shows earlier today that breathing in cinnamon and peppermint fragrance helps keep you more alert. I knew that in school the teachers are always giving the kids peppermints to suck on while taking tests, but I didn't know it worked to breathe in the aroma......That, coupled with dodging flying spices and candy, ought to wake them up!

ALSO, WHEN YOU ARE RAGING AT THEM, TAKE A DEEP BREATH !! It will help you relax. Best strategy: Deep breath in thru your nose, slowly let it out thru your mouth. (Breathing in thru your nose also helps warm the air before it gets to your lungs.)
(I'm kinda winging it with this part, putting together info I've heard at different times...Impressive, huh?)

(Cracker, You think that might get us off the hook for goofing off?)

I'm sure I've caused my share of "road rage". I figure I'm not waitin around for some wuss to decide what they're goona do. Somebody needs to make a move, so I usually do.

And for those of you who like to drive in the left lane, unless you're driving at least 10 mph over the limti, MOVE OVER!

macca... Bama will be SO PROUD that you have kept up the RR research while he/she is away!!

One small tidbit I might add to your posting..... when sucking on a peppermint in conjunction with sucking in deep breaths, while in the throes of a RR episode, be sure to secure the mint with the tongue or you are gonna suck it down your windpipe!! Also, be sure the air in the car is warm.... have you ever sucked on a peppermint and then sucked in cold air??? Woo Hoo!!!

Green Acres......You and Bama are gonna get along famously!

I'm getting ready to rack up even more brownie points (mana?)!!

While out cruisin today we saw a BROWN SUV UNDERCOVER POLICE VEHICLE PULL SOMEONE OVER! Talk about camouflage! You'd never guess it was a cop!

I also have a "yard art" sightin, but I'll be good and put that in on the playground...

Oh! that reminds me! There is a highway patrolman who is staking out Strawberry Rd. early in the mornings.... I know at least one of you travels that way in the mornings....  I saw him pull a car over at 6:30 AM last week at the corner of Waterton and Strawberry. Careful ya'll!

Does that qualify as a RR topic?

You guys/girls are goofs. I dont care what you talk about in here so long as you keep the cobwebs out. No tumbleweeds or crickets chirpin either. As I posted in mAAn, undercover cops are for bustin masage parlors, drug dealers, and cheap hookers.

Green Acres- 10-4 good buddy. haha I stole that from an episode of the (original of course) Dukes... or was it from Smokey and the Bandit. Man has Sally Field changed.

Anyway, my public service announcement for the day:

IF YOU ARE GOING TO RIDE EAST INTO THE SUN IN THE LEFT LANE, THEN BUY A PAIR OF SUNGLASSES!!! (BLUE BLOCKERS FOR YOU FOGIES OUT THERE) AAAAAAHHHHH. STOP SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES EVERYTIME THE SUN HITS YOU IN THE EYES!!!

oh and have a nice day

I believe the movie you are referring to is CONVOY (Kris Kristofferson, Ali McGraw maybe... what a lame movie!). Didn't that come first....Who remembers....better yet, who'll admit it?

I hate a "brake checker" too bama. Very dangerous... 'specially for those of us who tend to ride the bumper a bit to close....

(Shhh...Don't tell Steve)

Hope you're havin' decaf Bama!! LOL
