My kid is at Guilford College too.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a Quaker College, but must say I have been favorably impressed with it.  Clean Campus, friendly faculty & students, admin that actually return your phone calls.

Best of luck to you Ray with your studies.

Not a chance CJ.....any snow bunnies I make will be square in your front yard where all can see them.

I guess I've been kind of out of it today.... I just caught the news that the firefighter driving the truck was charged with that awful wreck.... I was afraid that might happen, based on what they said about where the fire truck hit the tanker..... Can't help but wonder what all the fallout from that will be.... Everybody was assuming the gasoline company would pay for all the damages. I'm just so thankful no one was seriously hurt.... ♥♥♥

It makes me wonder what speed at which the tanker was going during the collision.  My experience is that speed limits and traffic signals are considered by many truckers as a nuisance, and they often ignore both.  Could the trucker also be complicit in this if it could be determined that he was speeding at the time of the wreck?

The front of the firetruck hit the back of the gasoline tanker.

Given that set of facts, it would not seem possible that the gasoline tanker truck driver would be guilty of any negligence.

'Afore we go starting to celebrate this Eve, let's not forget it was Eve and that old snake who got us all kicked out of the Garden.

Wonder if that snake was part of the CC crowd?

Good morning, everybody! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (especially at my house, since I finally finished my shopping yesterday).

Gotta get those gifts wrapped today!

So we have some last minute shoppers around here heh? I'm just wondering how close to the edge ('edge' = last hours/minutes) the stores are open on Christmas Eve) some of the last minute shoppers here get? You last minute shoppers must have some interesting stories to share with us.

I resemble the implication that I am considered a "last minute shopper"!  By personal decree, the Christmas shopping season officially begins at 6 A.M. on the Winter Solstice.  Any man caught shopping prior to that date is probably just picking up something he forgot to buy for the previous Christmas.

Gotta go...only 75% of my shopping list remains (still plenty of time, though)...
