Grits I think in phase 2 of the park there are plans to cover the play ground so that the equipment won't get so hot.
I wonder if we need to start a Town Beautiful group to see that projects such as what you are suggesting Grits gets done. Like the group in Greensboro that plants the Bicentential Garden. They are all volunteers I think.

| I was thinking the exact same thing. If so I will volunteer. Maybe by the time phase 2 gets here, (which I hope will be soon)-- the baby will let me do some more of my favorite things--such as planting!. Has Parks and Recs talked of anything of the such?

| No Parks and rec hasn't , at least not in the near future. If you are truly interested in something like that talk to Michael because I expect that Parks and Rec would support a sub committee or maybe just a Summerfield Beautiful group on its own would be good. I am sure there are Master Gardners in the town that might enjoy becoming involved.

Howdy Ya'll!
I had a busy weekend! On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, me and at least two thousand other people went on the parade of homes. Took me the majority of two full afternoons to tour all of the houses in Summerfield alone. All I can say is WOW! Well... wow, and the ceilings in my house sure are low! 
This morning I ventured out to the Farmer's Market to get myself some lantana cause I haven't found it anywhere else. Also got some apple butter which I think would taste good no matter what you spread it on.
YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!
I didn't know where the webcams were so I just walked around and waved periodically in case Pappy was watchin'.  I didn't care whether people thought I was nutty or not.

Are each one of us going to give Pappy a million dollars or are we each just giving a dollar and let it mount up?
Another problem is I won't be here for Founders day. Should we give it to him before or after Founders Day? I do so want to be politcally correct.

Morning All!! Better put a sweater or jacket it on this morning. It is chilly out. I was surprised when I went out. The chicks were sort of sleeping close this morning.
Macca I hate missing Founders Day too but duty calls and I have a chance to see my son and the grandbaby that week end in Ohio. You all will just have to party with out me.
Don't forget the special called meeting tonight on Mayor/council form of government and also they are going to fill the council seat. 6:30 at the Community Center building.

I think we should test it both ways an' see which one works best.
