I was listening to the radio this mornin' and they had this Turkey rights activist woman on the radio.  I swear she musta been a taxpayer from Illinois cause those radio guys absolutely couldn't get a word in edgewise. The DJ's would just mute her so they could take callers who were really giving the woman a hard time. It was the funniest thing I've heard in quite a while.

She was telling all kinds of "not so nice turkey stories" in an effort to stop all of us from eating Turkey on Thursday.  She offered forth some alternatives that we could eat instead.

I'd just think I'd have a hard time getting excited about something called Tofurkey.

Much obleeged, Crackah!

That Illinois turkey woman might want to call the Summerfield branch office o' the Illinois legislature an' get a Anti Turkey Roastin' resolution in the works. That office is right next to the Summerfield branch office o' Federal Immigration an' Natchulization, by the way. She might find a sympathetic ear on behalf o' turkeys gettin' roasted. Hee hee!

Pappy, if I fall off'n the roof, I suspect I will be seeing "lights" but just not the kind you plug in to the electrical outlets.

Will your kind of 'juice' work to cure those kinds of 'lights'?

That's one o' the few thangs it won't cure. In fact, I think it might be the cause, but the data is inconclusive. More testin' is required.

Just as we're talkin' 'bout a CC summit meetin' I saw this news story:

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iran has invited the Iraqi and Syrian presidents to Tehran for a weekend summit with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to hash out ways to cooperate in curbing the runaway violence that has taken Iraq to the verge of civil war and threatens to spread through the region, four key lawmakers told The Associated Press on Monday.

Coincidence? Who says people don't read the forum!

Wonder if them guys over yonder are on the googleplex times infinity BCC list?

If they are, I hope we don't start gettin' mailin's from the Concerned Taxpayers Union of Iraq!

Hey I am going to brag a little about the Summerfield  Youth council. What a great bunch of teens and parents. The kids held a mock zoning tonight Robin Smith, our Town planner for another week, gave the kids an update. Then they presented the rezoning just like it would happen at the Town Council. Bob Williams, Mark Brown, Mike Stewart and myself took different rolls in offering guidance in the process. The kids really got into the role playing and did a really good job. Such a good way to get them involved in Town matters. SYC you rock! Thanks for letting me participate

Jane I agree with you, the Summerfield Youth Council rocks...

They did a great job of being the Town Council....Last night I saw Summerfield's future and it is very bright.....:dude:

Our youth did their mock zoning very realistic ( thought I saw Mom at one time) ....I think the planner last night needs to apply for the opening at town hall....Thanks for letting me see our youth in action.....

Morning all. It is cold and windy out this morning. Getting down to the wire on the Thanksgiving planning. I found a 23 pound turkey. Wonder how long it will take to thaw that.

Everybody have a good day and if you haven't been following the discussion on the Sumerfield Town Council page, go check it out. Pretty interesting.

Too funny Steve!  :D

Hay Macca!  Chris Daughtry's new CD came out today!  If I can find some quarters in the couch I might go get it. Gotta support the local artists you know.....
