Kept telling them "$100.00, no more", they keep saying "not enough money, be serious", but wouldn't turn loose.........a tactic like this in the USA would be assault & arrest. In virtually every case, they will drop to whatever you offer.
One girl said "I don't like you", when I said "OK, I'll leave", it's "no no no, tell me your price". I guess she decided she liked my money more than me.
Steve better watch what part of town you go in Those red lights mean something

Interesting you should bring up red lights.
The "oldest profession in the world" is rampant over here.
Newspapers full of ads, signs all over the place, very well advertised.

Good morning to you Steve. Thank you so much for all the pictures. The building with the satilites or cables or what ever on it is huge. What are the insides like?
I do have to make a statement though about our competing with China. I do feel if we pollute ourselves off this earth what is the point?
Article in this mornings paper by Stephen Hawking stating that if we can keep from blowing ourselves up or having an enviornmental disaster we will have to establish colonies on other planets, starts etc for the human population to survive.
Hewy Steve it is raining here so you had better hurry home. Your grass is growing.
Thanks again for the tour. Wish I was there.

Crackah's useless info for today:
You can't plow a cotton field with an elephant in North Carolina.
It's the law.

Just to let y'all know, my attendance may be spotty the next couple days.
On Thursday morning (your Wed night), I'm leaving Shanghai China to go about 4 hours to Ningbo China........kind of like going from Greensboro to Myrtle Beach. Will be dealing with a different situation down there, not sure how much time I'll have to post. but rest assured I haven't forgotten you guys, and will jump on when possible.
Sure glad I left those lawnmower blades to be sharpened at the Feed & Seed store.

Jane, thanks for the kind words. Maybe some day I'll be familiar enough with this place to organize a tour here. Summerfield residents first priority.
A comment, my opinion only.
The USA went thru the Industrial Revolution, the word pollution wasn't even invented yet, things got pretty messy, but in the past 30 years, the USA has gotten much cleaner in many regards, ie air, water, soil contamination, etc. It was a.......maybe 100 year cycle?? (mas o menos??)
Mexico 15 years ago was a pretty raunchy place, now their EPA standards are more stringent than USA. Granted they've got plenty grandfathered in, but new construction is cleaning up many polluting practices. Shorter cycle than USA.
China the boom has only been in the past 5 - 7 years, Let's hope they wake up faster than USA and Mexico. There's alot of good stuff here too, not all pollution. Also many countries in the world who are ultra serious about pollution prevention.
I'd rather focus on competing with China, keeping jobs at home, keeping food on our own kitchen tables, as first priority. Then hound our elected officials in Washington to press China for pollution abatement (when those officials get done worrying about illegal immigrants)

I hereby resolve to NEVER plow a cotton field with an elephant.
I'll present it to ya'll for signatures just as soon as I get DC's John Hancock.

Macca.... this one's for you. I know you'll find it when you get back home.
Today on the View they had David Lee Roth singing songs off of his new album.
It's called "Strummin' with the Devil - The Southern Side of Van Halen"
Picture this..... Van Halen gone Bluegrass.
He sang "Jump". It was pitiful.
Now I like some pickin' and grinnin' from time to time, but not Van Halen.
BTW... David Lee Roth is whacked.
