Well.........hard as it is to believe this........I finally saw a young child.

Notice the "safety" isn't quite what we've come to expect in the usa.

Matter of fact, it's not uncommon to see 3 persons riding one of these little scooter jobs.

Since the scooters & bicycles are primary transporation, even for work. it's amazing the creativity that folks put into them.

They basically turn them into miniature versions of pickup trucks

Here's another example.......a bicycle turned into a full fledged delivery wagon.

If you look to the left side of the photo, you'll see a side walk repair job going on with only make shift wheelbarrow & shovels.  No other automation to speak of.

I took a crack at a "where folks take their NWO" on a tri-shaw, but didn't come out too good, and you can't really see it looks China-ish......so if time permits I'll try to get a better one.

The driver didn't want his photo taken until he got a little "financial incentive".

Amazing how that works

Took tours of 3 factories today.......heck, a more appropriate name for China would be Xerox or Canon.   All they seem to do is copy stuff.  And they don't make any secret out of it.  Ask them to change anything, and they're lost, no Engineering abilities, but say "I'll send you a sample and you copy it", they say "ready in 2 weeks".

To give you an example, you can bake an apple pie in your own oven for $10.00 worth of ingredients, put it on the kitchen table to cool, the dog come by and stick it's paw in the pie, then give it to the Chinese..........they'll take it back to China, and within two weeks they would completely reproduce the pie down to exact number of crumbs on the top, identical burn marks on the crust, and dog paw mark in the crust, export it to the USA and sell it for $5.00.   You've already done the design work, they just copy it.  They don't ask why the paw mark is there, just duplicate it.

I saw an official Chinese sweat shop today. There is no heat or air conditioning in Chinese factories.......they're either very hot or very cold.  Today were very hot.  12 workers crammed around a table, bent over, all doing menial labor.  All equipment in the building looked World War II vintage.  Almost expected to see the workers bill of rights stating "You have the right to remain silent".

I walked toward a back door of the building, the "sidewalk" jutted 3 feet out, over a flowing "creek" of raw sewage.  (Just like I talked about in Mexico).

The workers living quarters was on site also.............ugh !!!

We went to the "office" to talk.....wasn't A/C'd there either, had sweat pouring off us.  I asked for a glass of water, it was served room temp, they don't chill the water.

Today there is an article in USA today where the US is welcoming some Chinese trade ambassador who was sniffing all over a Harley Davidson............hmmmmm, guess what they'll be copying next?????????

Mornin', y'all!

Pappy had to get some java an' check the Steve Report first thing.
Thanks once ag'in, Steve! Great stuff!

Pappy remembers not havin' AC back in the day. I don't know how we'd survive now, 'specially in cars! Might sweat the meanness right outta ol' Pappy!

Looks hot over yonder! We been havin' some heavy-duty thunderstorms here. Got a lot o' wind an' rain an' a whole bunch o' light'nin' in a short time yesterday afternoon, but didn't see any damage. Hope ever'body came through all right. Pappy heard a little hail tappin' on the winders wantin' some attention too, but I reckon the clouds figgered they'd done all they needed to an' voted to kill the hail before it did any damage.

I don't know about you but I have been sleeping much better knowing my town council is protecting me from illegal aliens. If the illegals should slip by our porous federal border security and apply for jobs here in Summerfield they will be stopped cold by our proposed town resolution. In fact it might be a good idea to pass a resolution staking out a position on each and every illegal act that could be perpetrated in our town? If murderers, rapists, burglars, etc. notice that we have no resolution against their activities we could suffer a crime wave.
