Greetings from next Saturday
(or last Saturday) Steve-O!!!
I love the China Chronicles! Way better than the Donut Diaries I've been reading.
Maglev post- That is sooo cool! It was even cooler of those Chinese to hang up those English speaking signs for ya! Hey! do you speak Chinese too???
Construction post - Note to self.... do not work construction while in China. Bamboo scaffolding my right foot! Give me some solid steel girders thank you. Oh! and chickens have large tongues???
Open air market post - RETAIL???? If you'd told me there were so many retail opportunities Steve, I'da gone with you!!!! Faux or not... stuff is stuff! Sounds a lot like NYC used to be with the hagglers in the street. You can't get good deals in NYC anymore though. It's all run by the mob or something now. Border Patrol Pappy, Steve will be the tall one in the Tommy Bahama Shirt!!
It's washday here too. Gotta go get my buckets out!
LOVE ALL THE PHOTOS! Take care til tonight (or tomorrow)!
oh. one more thing.
LACKA!!!!!!
WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!

Since y'allhave been typalking about the DaVinci code, you might find this interesting:
China drops curtain on Code...Catholic outcry ends 22 day run of hugely popular film
Chinese Theaters halted screenings of the The DaVinci Code on Friday after authorities acted on a warning from Chinese Catholics that the film threatened social stability.
The film has been criticized as insulting to catholics. Protests from China's official Catholic Patriotic Association and a small scale demonstration involving a few dozen Catholics were cited as evidence the file was becoming a political risk.
Communism ain't dead yet.........they can still squash films they don't like

Steve How interesting. China is one of the places I would really like to see. Thanks for the pictures. Must be interesting to be in a city that large and be one of the tallest people around. Good view of everything I guess.

Hey, Steve! Thanks fer the pitchers an' all! Pappy would love to see Chiney, too. Amazin'! You gonna get to see any countryside?
I'm gonna take the cover off the well later an' holler down at you. Be listenin'.
In honor of your China visit, here's one o' Pappy's favorite quotes from the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu.
For those who practice not-doing,
everything will fall into place.
Hee hee! I'm not bein' lazy, Mammy, I'm followin' The Tao! I follered it right over here to this shady spot fer a little not-doin'.

You'd be a rich ol' man if you'd put some of your stuff in a book.
Too funny!

Bon soir, y'all!
Weather.com says it's 82 an' hazy right now in Shanghai.
(Mammy says Pappy's also 82 an' hazy.)
77 an' clear down aroun' Wilmington. Not sure where Macca is down that way but it sounds nice.
70 an' mostly dark outside on the Texas deck. Pappy was out feedin' my mousquito herd. They're flyin' a mite erratic now fer some reason. Hee hee!
