Music trivia:
What ground-breaking album was released in the UK on June 1, 1967, and a day later in the U.S.?
Thanks for posting this, Pappy!! I've been so swamped lately that I totally missed it!! ♥♥♥

Grits, you nailed it!
I reckon it would be hard to overstate the impact of the Beatles, Sgt. Pepper, and 1967. I had more fun that year than I did in 1867, and that's no lie. Hee hee!

I wasn't sure if you'd heard of Sergeant Pepper, Macca. Hee hee!
Back in 1867 all we had was Sergeant Pappy's One an' Only Homely Hard Luck Band. The band floundered fer lack o' decent recordin' technology.

I read that the impact of Sgt Pepper in 1967 put a whole new meaning on 'LSD' (hee-hee-ha-ha)Last edited on Jun 6th, 2007 01:50 pm by GRITS

I was gonna say "I do not in any way acquiesce to any accusations cast at me," but I reckon Pappy would rather take the "fifth". Hee hee

Sometimes at night my friend Lucy and I just look at the stars in the sky, twinkling like diamonds. ♥♥♥

Here's some interesting info I just got.
"Horses and wagons, canoes and sailing ships - these are the means of travel usually seen in outdoor historical dramas.
But move over moccasins. This year, the colonial and the pioneer will share the limelight with the V-8 engine as the Wilkes Playmakers of Wilkesboro present a much more recent slice of history.
The company's new "Moonshine and Thunder: The Junior Johnson Story," set in the 1930s and '40s, will tell the tale of a stock-car racing giant whose beginnings as a bootlegger paralleled those of the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing.
The addition of "Moonshine" brings the total number of outdoor dramas in North Carolina this year to 21 said Scott Parker, director of the Institute of Outdoor Drama at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For the play titles, locations, dates and details, visit http://www.unc.edu/news/archives/jun07/oddlist060607.html."
I'll be interested to see if the NASCAR fans flock to this one. Pappy - there might even be a part in this one for you!

Why don't you and Mammy load up the truck and we'll all go? Macca and her friend Lucy might need a dose o' culture once they get tired o' staring up at the sky. Mr. Mike can bring the bacon ice cream, Jane can bring the chickens and Crackah can, well, Crackah can bring the crackahs.
(Pappy, don't forget to bring along the medicine, just in case we all start feeling a might puny after breathing in the fumes from the pickup on the way up to Wilkesboro.)

Sounds like a plan! If the Queen was still around we could load her in the back too an' show her what real culture is like!
If the fumes don't getcha, the snakes will. Pappy's always prepared fer emergencies.
