Larry King is interviewing PAUL McCARTNEY, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison's widow, Olivia, and John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, on his show tonight. It will be broadcast from Las Vegas in celebration of the first year anniversary of Cirque de Soleil's show, LOVE, a tribute to the BEATLES.

Sir Paul and Yoko together??!!?? Of course, I think last year at the premiere of the show they hugged..... This is their first interview together, though... Could be interesting!! I'll certainly be watching! Already have the program marked so I don't forget!!

Also read that Julian Lennon, John's first son, recently patched up an 8-year feud with his half brother Sean, John's son with Yoko. That rift stemmed from comments Julian made about Yoko.....

Yeah, they didn't really have any interaction at all. Larry talked with Yoko and Olivia first and they were the only ones with him on stage. Then he talked with Paul and Ringo, and again it was just them with him. Then he had all four together, along with the person who developed the Cirque program. Paul sat nearest Larry, then Ringo, then Yoko, Olivia and Giles.

An interesting moment came when Larry asked Olivia if George missed the Beatles. She said yes, and made some comment that he had told her he wished she played the saxophone or something. Then he asked Yoko if John missed the Beatles and she started talking about how when she first met all of them she was surprised that they had a send of humor, since all of the musicians she'd ever "met or done anything with" were all so serious.....;)

Went to a "bluegrass" concert at Guilford College tonight. Part of the Eastern Music Festival, this was a free outdoor concert and featured a local group (from Randolph County) as well as one from Alaska (Bearfoot -- cute name, huh?). Anyway, the local group is headed by Donna Hughes, from Trinity. They opened their set with -- get this!! -- a bluegrass version of "Yesterday." !! Not bad! Yet another cover of the most covered song ever!!! :D

Nice evening out. Picked up some sandwiches, sat on blankets and brought the folding chairs as well. Cool weather. Decent music. (Just too much talking around us, but you can't have everything, I guess....);)

Okay, so I've just come in from seeing Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!" All you muggles be forewarned: The little maccas say it's the best yet! (I have to take their word for it, since all I know is that Harry is a wizard, he has a scar, his parents were killed when he was young and he goes to Hogwarts school. Never read a book and this is the first movie I've seen.) It was entertaining, and I will likely read the books and see the other movies. There were a ton of people at the Grand tonight to see it, and I know it was shown in several of the theatres there. I was impressed that the youngest macca stayed awake throughout the movie! Himmer took a nap earlier in the evening to prepare!:D

Well there you are Macca!  I thought you were missin' in action! I just moseyed over here to wish everyone a Happy Harry Day and stumbled on your post!  I'm JEALOUS that you've seen it already!  I couldn't get out last night to go and see it so I reckon we'll go this afternoon or tonight.

I wish you'd read those books.  They're really sooooooo wonderful. The movies are great but they don't really do the books justice.

Which reminds me.... We're anxiously counting down to the release of the 7th (final) book.  I've been livin' in fear that I would "pass" before that book got published and I'd never know how it all turned out.... Hope I can hang in there for 10 more days!!!

Are you goin' to the Harry Party at Barnes and Noble on the 20th????  If so, you'd best reserve your books in advance.  Helps to speed the process along.....

Saw it tonight.  Loved it.

I think they did a pretty good job condensing the content of the book into a two hour movie. Of course they left a lot of important stuff out, but not as much as they left out of the Prisoner of Azkaban and that worked, so I'll keep the faith that they won't need this stuff in the end to make the non book readers understand it all.....

The woman who played Delores Umbridge did a good job.  She wasn't nearly as mean in the movie as she was in the book.....

The Weasley twins stole the show and that Dumbledore really does have style! ;)

Macca, The World Series of Pop Culture is on right now.  VH1.  I think I was supposed to tell you when that show came back on.......  I watched it last summer.  I think I've missed a few episodes this year.  Not a channel I frequent.

It's a fun show!
