DToney, my best advice is go to Maui! We have visited Oahu, the Big Island, Maui and Kauai and Maui is by far, our favorite and in my opinion, the most "Hawaiian" of the islands and best suited for tourists without being "touristy". You would most likely have to fly into Honolulu (Oahu) so I would suggest spending a few days there (Pearl Harbor, Waikiki Beach) before you take an inter-island flight to Maui. Visiting Pearl Harbor is a moving experience - something you will never forget. When you start planning, feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Get a travel guide - Frommer's and the Hawaii Revealed books are the best!

Steve, Kris taught me this neat little trick... you can upload your photos for free to Photobucket.com and that site will assign a URL to each photo..... then when you click "insert image" you just paste the URL into that silly little box that pops up.
I am not sure that's how she did it this time, but she's used it before and it's Way Cool!
Thanks CJ! Yep, I photobucket'ed them. I had to reduce the size though and it took me a little while to figure that out! I hope by posting the URL link that way that it doesn't use up too much bandwidth on the forum ??? (I have about a thimbles-worth of knowledge about such things )

Me too Kris.... I know nothing about bandwidth and forum running. It might be best to play it safe and REMOVE the picture of the hula girls.
JUST KIDDING FELLAS!!!
I would guess that the insert image thing wouldn't be an option if it weren't ok..... OR the firecracker would "explode" onto the scene and let us know if we are doing something we shouldn't...
Until then, keep on sharing!!!

Hey Macca... Remember Truthiness?
I was watching the World Series of Pop Culture this morning and that question came up about what was the best word of whatever.... can't even remember the question but I KNEW the answer.
The little crackers were like....huh? Couldn't believe I knew it.... I gave you full credit.

Shore is purty out yonder today!
Pappy wandered out to the garden to see if'n them dang Japanese beetles were happy with what I been growin' fer 'em. They seemed to be OK with it. I don't much like Japanese beetles, but they're my best customers next to the rabbits, so I try to be accommodatin'.
Mammy's got some kind o' red flowers out yonder the hummin'bird clientel seems to favor. Them hummin'birds is some feisty little critters now! They prob'ly burn up 1000 calories fightin' amongst theirselves over a 200 calorie meal! Hee hee!
Whilst I was choppin' some weeds a dime jumped out o' my pocket tryin' to escape an' fell in the dirt. I thought well, I've heard o' seed money, so I'll just cover it up with a little loose soil, water it real good an' see if'n I can grow a money tree!
The best part o' gardenin' is when the snake bites you an' you hafta quit an' come back in the house fer some med'cine. Pappy's lucky enough to get snakebit ever' time I go out yonder, but thanks to the healin' powers o' Pappy's snake bite med'cine, an' my strict medication regimen, I just about always live through it so's I can go out an' get bit ag'in.

Piece o' CAKE!!!!!!
The silence was so deafening at first, I thought I was seeing all electronic heels & elbows from this suggestion.
We'll track it month by month, then pour the coal on in October/November if we need to. Just seems like we ought to do something neat for MAAN's birthday.

Ummmm, yeah! OF COURSE, I remember, Crackah! Glad it came in handy!!! ACtually, I just "googled" it again and found this in the Wikipedia file: Truthiness is the quality by which a person purports to know something emotionally or instinctively, without regard to evidence or to what the person might conclude from intellectual examination.
After I read that I kind of remembered .....♥♥♥

Well, if you don't remember it Macca, maybe it was that old POLYMATH who used to hang out here who taught me that word..... anyway, himmer won't care if I gave you credit.
I can tell you this..... I won't be searching thru all 470-something pages of MAAN to find out who said it first, and I will probably NEVER use that word again!

Hey, Pappy! I forgot about this one..... OKAY!!! DETAILS!!! What kind of truck? Where? What direction was he going? What was the tag #? Maybe Paul was trying to find me and got lost!!! I've got to track him down!!! Thanks, Pappy!!! ♥♥♥
