I heard today that ABC is switching "Grey's Anatomy" to Thursday nights in the fall, opposite "CSI." Why???? ♥♥♥

Well, Taylor was impressive tonight. If he just didn't do the thing with his knees.

I hate when they juggle the schedule. Does CSI come on at 9 or 10?? I don't watch that smarty pants Grissom fella anymore you know.

Does anybody else have a senior at NWHS who is on the verge of cardiac arrest over senior projects?
Our daughter woke up with such a case of nerves this am I wasn't sure she was going to make it.
It's actually good to see these kids pouring their hearts & souls into something that will prepare them for the college life.
In the meantime, I hope my 17 year old doesn't have a coronary before this is over.

Steve, good luck to your daughter! I'm sure she will do just fine!
Biting my tongue.........hard. I will limit my comment on the "Senior Project" to this - my oldest has just completed her first year of college and her senior project last year in NO WAY helped to prepare her for college. Prior to the class of 2005, seniors at NW were required to do a career project. In my opinion that is much more useful than what seniors are doing now - learning to knit, cook, fish, sew, etc. I would like to see seniors doing a career project or community service project instead of learning a new hobby. OK, sorry, back to biting my tongue

Not quite sure what you may have witnessed from other Seniors, my daughter did hers on Depression. She researched the genetics, the physical drivers, ie chemical imbalances, the many medicines on the market, interviewed our family physician, did a family tree plotting it's path, and in general treated it as a real research project.
She has been focused on a medical career for several years, taking classes at Weaver, and making me dread the upcoming tuition bills.
Don't take this as a backlash from me, that's not my intent, just trying to explain why I thought these Senior Projects were good prep for college. Maybe I'm naively thinking all Seniors do the same amount of leg work.

Kris and SMS
About those Senior Projects..... I think both of you have good points. I'm not there yet, but I have a friend who judged those projects last year and she told me about a lot of projects that were great for building life skills. Of course in Kris' defense, there were A LOT of kids who took the easy way out and didn't take the opportunity to learn something useful too.
Be glad Steve that your daughter chose to make the most of it. I hope her depression project doesn't throw her into a depression though!!
Kris, unbite your tongue.... do you think the project is something that ought to get axed?? Like I said, I don't know much about it. Seems like it is a LOT of added stress to an already stressful year!
