That's a great story Vicki! I can't believe I was

and I never made the connection before. How funny!
Even funnier that your mom is a "Golden Girl"!!!!
Do you have any cousins? Tim Conway? Harvey Korman?
Oh, yeah! I forgot about "Golden Girls".... Nope, no HKs, TCs or anything, although we learned a couple of years ago that there is a link to Edward R. Murrow that I need to investigate.

Cracker Jax wrote about schools being out of supplies.... I hope everyone is letting the Board of Ed know about it. Grier made such a big deal about this in the fall, saying there were plenty of supplies and that parents should not be having to provide them. I know one afternoon a truck carrying cases of copy paper got caught in the end-of-day traffic at Stokesdale and got special permission from his supervisor because it was going to put him into overtime -- but GCS was insisting that paper be delivered THAT DAY so they could say there was no shortage.
PTAs have been called upon to provide more and more of the basics every year as less money is available to schools. And yet, all of the incumbents who are running for re-election are running unopposed. The only district that has more than one candidate is District 2, which was represented by Susan Mendenhall, who is not running for re-election (much to the delight of her constituents).
Any time we as parents try to talk about funding, BOE members tell us to take it to the state legislators, saying they are the ones who determine funding.... Very frustrating when you don't feel that your local leaders pay attention to you. It gets set up as "us" and "them" when it would make so much more sense if it were "US" all together. I don't feel that parental involvement is valued except in terms of time and money we are willing to give. They give lip service to having us serve on committees, but they don't want to listen to us there either.
Thanks for letting me borrow your soapbox, Cracker Jax!

BTW... this is an example of why we need the NWO archives to work. I would think you should just be able to type in Labyrinth and the article pops up. Right? I know... they're working on it. CJ & Macca.....it's great to know you're anxious for the archives to work, but keep in mind they will be the NWO archives. so if Labyrinth had been reported in the NWO before, then yes it would be in the archives, but if not, then you're better off with google or yahoo.

We did understand that Steve - O, but Just Me did say shem had seen it in the NWO so naturally that's the first place I went to look. Thanks for keeping an eye out for us though!

So I wonder if Just Me made it to the Labyrinth today....
And isn't that cool that Vicki might be related to Murrow? Loved that story about the name...♥♥♥
And all this stuff with the schools...Sometimes I don't know if it's better not to know all the junk and just deal with what's going on in your kids' classes. Of course, it all trickles down...♥♥♥
And CRACKAH! I followed your lead when I revised my profile!♥♥♥
Watching "Desperate Housewives".... Susan just admitted to the doctor who is about to open up her chest, who just told her he loves her, that she loves Mike! "Let's open this b**** up!"
And Carlos and Gabby want to become parents so they had Lynnette put together a portfolio to show what good godparents they were... Of course, they couldn't remember the names of her kids, who were supposed to be their godchildren. And then the mother of her high school gardener/lover worked for the agency and spilled the beans about her "raping" high school boys and him going to prison for being a slavelord....And Bree's son hired a lawyer so he could be legally emancipated, had his gay lover hit him in the face several times so he'd be bruised after she slapped him....
NOW IT'S TIME FOR GREY'S ANATOMY!!! ♥♥♥

SO, CRACKAH! How long has your brother been tormenting you this way??? (Actually, it sounds nice to have that connection...)♥♥♥

It is gorgeous this morning. I went out to let my chickens out and the hawks are screaming in the tree tops, the birds are just singing away. They all think it is spring!!

Macca, my brothers are the greatest!!!!
The youngest one loves music like me and so when he finds some one hit wonder from the 70's or 80's he'll call and ask me if I've ever heard it. 9 times out of 10, I've heard it and 5 times out of 10 I have it on 45 or an album and it makes him crazy... LOL
My sister's new hubby tried to join in once and tried to stump me on the words to the Monkees theme song. PUHLEEZE.....
Here we come....
Walking down the street...
What an annoying song.

Mike.... I know I don't post here much, but I read it all. It seems to me you have a tendency to get in trouble at times!
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH STEVE'S MATH!
By the way, Steve: Thanks so much for drawing attention to those figures I listed. I think Cracker Jax was being kind and ignoring the fact I'd put them in....
