Just voted at Summerfield Baptist Church. They reported a steady turn out all morning. Regardless of the outcome I am always happy when lots of people vote.

Yee haw, Mr Jim. I'll go sharpen a turkey quill an' peel some birch bark so El F'at can get his acceptance speech polished up. Hee hee!

Glad to see the rain hasn't slowed the votin' down! It'll be interestin' to see what the tally is. I hope the machines hold up.

I don't know if there's a reason or not for the apparent turnout, but I saw a lot of folks up there who said they wouldn't have come if their kids hadn't made them.

I know the Laughlin staff held a big deal KIDS VOTING rally and there are incentives for kids who go and vote.

I really think there might just be something to this kids voting thing... sort of like wearing seatbelts.  We didn't all grow up wearing them so it's sometimes easy to forget, but our kids have been strapped in all their lives so it's natural to them.

Perhaps Kids Voting will eventually put an huge dent in voter apathy. :D

CJ, I've thought the same thing! That Kid's Voting is a great program!

Thanks Jane and Pappy for the info yesterday about the bond referendums. I've been following all those issues and trying to figure out how I was going to vote on them.......for no reason :? But that's OK, I'd have to be a "city slicker" I guess to have that privilege - I'll stick with being out here in the great northwest territory!

I voted! And the candidate's forum really helped me make some decisions this time too!
