Love the new avatar!!!  :D

I'm hopin' our buddy Ray is doing ok today too.  I told somebody yesterday that he feels like a friend to me now that he's a MAANiac. I know he ran a hard race and I'm sad that he didn't win.

I, too, hope Ray won't be a stranger to us, or to the commissioners. Even though you didn't get elected doesn't mean you can't get people to pay attention.

Pappy, I saw your buddy Howard Coble did pretty good out there at the polls. Coot salute everybody! :D

Good Morning friends!

Can't wait for the party to begin!!!

I was sittin' here watchin' Jimbo's candy cane.  It looks like it's dancin' to Reggae (sp?) music to me.  Just an observation that tickled me.

Pappy that was awfully nice of you to help Macca get all decorated for the Jollydays!

I just received an email that I thought some of you might be interested in.  Here is a portion of the email.

Many of you are familiar with the story of Dakota Gauldin, the 16
year-old, Oak Ridge boy and his fight with bone cancer. As you may be
aware, there is a fundraising dinner being held in his honor along
with the Make A Wish Foundation THIS SATURDAY, November 11th at Union
Grove Church (Left off of Hwy 150 as you go towards Kernersville).

Diane Dillon has asked me to help collect cakes or desserts that will
be part of the fundraising dinner or sold separately to people that
wish to take them home. It can be a cake, plate of cookies, cupcakes
-- whatever.  Of course, more than one dessert is even better!  All
desserts can be dropped off at Union Grove Baptist Church on November
11th.

I have inquired about times, menu, and prices if anyone is interested in going to dinner, and will post that info when I get it.

Sandra, if you have detailed info please let us know.  Sounds like a worthwhile event to me.

Thanks Lacka for posting that.

Our family has already planned to donate a dessert (without my fingerprints in it of course!)

I would like to know the cost of the dinner and what else they are serving so post the info when you get it!!

BTW.... you really oughta spruce up your bear for the jollydays!

DUH....I checked the NWO website and found the info.

Time 4:00-7:30pm

The menu is spagetti and meatballs, salad, bread and dessert.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children.  You can get them at the NWO office or at the door.  It is dine in OR takeout.

They are also having a silent auction.
