Well I am back from Wilmington and the azalea festival. It was 75 degrees in Pittsboro where I left my friend off. I could not imagine how cold and nasty it is here. Wilmington was gorgeous with all colors and sizes of azaleas. It was fairly warm and we walked and walked looking at the gardens.

Mr Mike did not get the chicks while I was gone. They are growing away.

Sorry to worry you Macca. But thanks for the welcome back. Grits I know one thing to be true about tomorrow's weather. It will be wet and muddy. We have just had torrential rain and now the wind has started blowing.  I did get my beans plantedbefore I left so all this rain is good for them if the sun comes back out.

It's marvelously surreal.

I am currently looking for a cow pasture to lie down in.  Jane, do you have cows? "Bovine curiosity"  That just kills me! :D:D:D

Gosh Jane... I was worried too!

Glad you're back now and maybe you can offer me some "bovine wisdom" about whether or not cows will really rally around a person laying in a cow pasture..... :?

You're the only farm girl I know!  Welcome Home!!!

But Cracker what would happen if they weren't curious and just ran slap dab over the top of you?

Actually when I was a little girl, my mother drove us into the pasture with the milk cows of Clark's daddy. All the cows circled the car and stuck their heads in. My Mother just screamed her head off. We kids thought it was pretty funny. Clark's Daddy had to come shoo them away so she could drive out.

Cows do circle things they are curious about. Now bulls are not so curious and if there is a mean bull in the pasture you might end up stomped to death. I know a family that happened to over in Stokes County. We don't have cows anymore or I would invite you over to try the theory out.

Cracker, I'm calling your bluff.

We'll finally find out whether you're really COW-HEARD or not!

Cracker, we have a couple of farmers over here in Stokesdale with herds of cows, who I am reasonably sure we could entice into allowing you to conduct your bovine experiment. The only requirement being that you allow us to film it for posterity one morning after we solicit a crowd of spectators from amongst the breakfast group up at the Family Diner. (In fact, Vic Angel's cows and cow pasture aren't more than a quarter of a mile down Highway 68 from the Family Diner which will make this oh so convenient).

Heck, we might even be able to sell tickets and I'm sure Vicki would love to do a write up and story for the Northwest Observer (complete with photographs of course).

Heck, bring Macca along too as your co-conspirator and partner in crime!

I'm sure I can talk Ruby up at the Family Diner into whupping up some extra biscuits and frying extra bacon for the Summerfield Breakfast Bacon Buttered Biscuit Brigade so they can enjoy the show as well.

Sign me up as a spectator.  I just gotta see this.  Hey Cracker, if you're wrong and cow curiosty turns into a stompin' party, would that mean that you'd be pasturized???

Holy Cow Mike. That thought never occurred to me.

I can just see the headline in the Northwest Observer now:

When The Chips Are Down, Bovine Experiment Fails, Sending Cracker On To Greener Pastures.

Morning All!! Old Man Winter just won't give up, will he? The wind is harsh and cold this morning. Don't bother wearing a hat today because it will blow away.  I let the big chickens out of their barn and the wind just about blew them across the yard.

Stay warm and just remember in another couple of months we will be complaining about how hot it is? Have a great day!!

Cracker if you do this just think of the fame and fortune you will amass. I am sure you will be on youtube. I really do think the theory will work but if not well, you will be guarnateed a place in the history of the area.

You know Patti and Sandra will do their part by milking this story for all it's worth!

Good one, Jim!

Perhaps if Cracker lays real still, they might not stomp him flat.  Maybe they'll just graze him.
