I saw the snow last night. My boccoli plants have snow on them and it is cold outside this morning. Hope my broccoli and lettuce survived. May have to cover them tonight if it is going to get colder. Hope the peaches and strawberries made it.
Have a good day.

I just came in this morning from an overnight trip to Raleigh, and noticed that the rooftops and ground were covered in white this morning down in the Mebane area. I had stopped for a biscuit at the Biscuitville there and first thought I was seeing things. Didn't notice any snow on the ground here in Stokesdale this morning though. I'm tired of this cold and more than ready for Spring to return.

I know this weather bites, I was crazy enough to plant flowers. Got out and covered most of them last night. Cannot remember if it is always cold around Easter.

Headline in today's Washington Post says it all (weather wise):
Whoa, April. Before You May, You March.

Morning All! I t does not appear to have gooten as cold as they were predicting last night. at 7 this morning it was still 30. I covered my broccoli last night so hopefully it is ok. The chicks were all trying to get under their light this morning when I checked on them I hope the cold is over. Now for some rain.
It is a bright sunny day. Happy Easter everyone!!

Steve Adkins wrote: Dear Friends
The recent chain of events in Summerfield, along with my position as
chairman of the Friends For Summerfield group, has made it increasingly
challenging for me to ride the fine line between the SuperModerator, which should
be serving in an impartial capacity, and a Participant. There are often
time comments I would like to make but simply cannot, and would rather be
able to voice my opinions freely as a Member.
I've discussed this with Patti Stokes & a few others, and feel it would be
best if I stepped out of the SuperModerator role. Therefore in the not too
distant future, the SuperModerator title under my name will be changing to
Member, and I will no longer be calling the "off topics" and the "policy
violations".
We have agreed that the role of the SuperModerator should be primarily to
monitor the forum comments to ensure they are on topic and adhering to our
forum rules, notify participants of policy violations, and to get rid of
spammers.
The forum's maturity over the past 18 months has been great, and it's
overall impact in the community equally great. It's great to be part of
such a successful communication vehicle. Let's continue to watch it grow
!!
Steve
I'd like to personally thank Steve for all the time he's dedicated to the forum. We look forward to him continuing as a participant.
