Just the one... Phil... he lives in the backyard and has never forgiven me for tearing down the tin-sided barn that Shorty and Jack used back in the 50s. ;) Only Phil knows what odd configuration of pipes rests beneath the soil, behind my house. And he's not telling.

Morning all!!

It is never dull around here. Yesterday Patty the two year old horse excaped out of her stall. Luckily her stall opens in side the pasture and she didn't go anywhere. They are on night turn out now and this morning Hairbrush was walking up here to feed the horses when she said suddenly there was Patty walking beside her on the road outside the fence. She runs them in electric fense and obviously the fence is down and luckily the rest didn't realize it, so they are inside where they are suppose to be. Hairbrush says that having a horse walk out of the dark up to you really takes care of any sleepiness you might be feeling.

For those of you off today have a great day off and for the rest of us we will just make it the best day we can.

GOOD MORNING!!!

Everyone have a great day! I know there is the Horse Show today and tomorrow.

In downtown Stokesdale today there is the Cross Walk.

I think next Saturday is the event at Vulcan materials.

Pappy saw a couple o' weird items in a alternate news source this mornin'. (No, not them two...)

First, they say the McCoys, of Hatfield/McCoy fuedin' fame, have been sufferin' fer years with some disease that makes 'em mean an' short-tempered. I wonder if they just went with that theory 'cause none o' the researchers were left to dispute it.

Second, a national study ranks worst drivers by city, with (surprise!) Greensboro, North Carolina comin' in at third worst in the country, behind Columbia, SC, and St. Looie. Sorry, bama, they didn't mention Stokesdale.

I saw that driving study too, Pappy. Used data about seatbelt usage, accident rates, etc. I think I even saw something about turn signals... If that's the case, surely some of our area drivers were caught on that one while driving in Greensboro.

Wonder if there's a study about telepathy, and the rest of us just haven't gotten the message yet? (We're supposed to be able to read their minds and know that they are turning....):?

Whoops! I bet I should've posted this on Road Rage! I swear, earlier this week I let bama suck me into an "OT" and now it's Pappy!! (I know, technically there is no "OT" on MAAN!!):D:D:D

Dear Friends

The recent chain of events in Summerfield, along with my position as
chairman of the Friends For Summerfield group, has made it increasingly
challenging for me to ride the fine line between the SuperModerator, which should
be serving in an impartial capacity, and a Participant.   There are  often
time comments I would like to make but simply cannot, and would rather be
able to voice my opinions freely as a Member.

I've discussed this with Patti Stokes & a few others, and feel it would be
best if I stepped out of the SuperModerator role. Therefore in the not too
distant future, the SuperModerator title under my name will be changing to
Member, and I will no longer be calling the "off topics" and the "policy
violations".

We have agreed that the role of the SuperModerator should be primarily to
monitor the forum comments to ensure they are on topic and adhering to our
forum rules, notify participants of policy violations, and to get rid of
spammers.

The forum's maturity over the past 18 months has been great, and it's
overall impact in the community equally great.  It's great to be part of
such a successful communication vehicle.   Let's continue to watch it grow
!!

Steve
