That's horrible! I don't reckon they have any idea of a motive yet. Prob'ly never will.

Roanoke television stations (which I have been monitoring in real time since mid-morning) are reporting that the first shooting this morning at West Ambler Dorm involved the estranged girlfriend of the shooter, who is reported to be a young Asian male. Reportedly, the shooter took his own life with one of two handguns he was carrying. The shooter also reportedly was wearing a bullet proof vest and reportedly was a VT student. Two victims (including one male and one female were taken from the scene of the first shooting at West Ambler Dorm. One of these first two victims is believed to be an RA [resident adviser] at this dorm).
Roanoke television cautions that while their sources are law enforcement officials on the Virginia Tech campus, these are unconfirmed reports and caution an exercise of caution until confirmation can be provided. Roanoke television has been reporting live on this story since 9:30 AM this morning.
32 reported dead in the latest update with 29 additional injured victims, many hospitalized in critical condition.

We'll finally find out whether you're really COW-HEARD or not!
Cracker, we have a couple of farmers over here in Stokesdale with herds of cows, who I am reasonably sure we could entice into allowing you to conduct your bovine experiment. The only requirement being that you allow us to film it for posterity one morning after we solicit a crowd of spectators from amongst the breakfast group up at the Family Diner.

Sign me up as a spectator. I just gotta see this. Hey Cracker, if you're wrong and cow curiosty turns into a stompin' party, would that mean that you'd be pasturized???
MStone and Jim,
While I am extremely mooved by your request for a bovine Cracker photo op, I must steer you in another direction. I don't want to catch any beef for making this statement, but the thought of myself lying down in a cow pasture as feed for the press is in fact, udderly ridiculous! My family would insist that I moove to Cowlifornia or somewhere!
I don't udderstand how you cud ask this of me! Why, I'd have to do some serious cowculating, but I don't think that I could bring myself to drag my dairy-air (that one's my favorite...) out to conduct my bovine experiment publicly, even if I herd that Hugh Heifer or some other cream of the crop hot shot were going to be in attendance! This is bull!!!
I would like nothing butter than for the two of you to find some other nut to go along with your spotty plan. If this experiment is conducted by the Cracker, you can rest assured that no one will know about it until after the experiment is complete! That my fine friends is just the whey it is!

Morning All!! Boy it is still windy out this morning. The wind has blown the tin off part of the horse barn. Not sure how Hairbrush is going to convince the young horses to come in this morning with the tin popping and snapping in the wind. They will be convinced it is a horse eating tiger making all that noise. The older horses will decide to deal with it after they eat their breakfast.
I guess as a nation all we can do is send our thoughts and prayers to the families who are suffering at Virginia Tech. Make this a good day.

Mornin' all. Dairy-air! Hee hee! Good'n, Crackah!
Yep, that wind was somethin' else. If I wore a toupee, I reckon I'd thread my hair (singular) through it an' tie a knot in it to hold it on.

I would say that with Pappy as your coach, you will get plenty of 12 oz. curls but I'm not sure how pappy contains his sauce. Pint, quart, gallon?

To those of you who were fortunate enough to make it out to Vulcan, I just wanted to let you know that around $7,800 was raised for Good Samaritan Ministries.
THIS COMING SATURDAY -- APRIL 21 -- STOKESDALE ELEMENTARY WILL HAVE ITS ANNUAL SPRING FESTIVAL. IT WILL BE HELD 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside and behind the gym.
Tickets for rides, games and food will be sold. You can purchase a bracelet for $12 that will allow for unlimited rides on the Inflatable Giant Slide/Rock Climbing Wall, Moonwalk, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Velcro Wall and Bungee Run.
Those of you who have been before know that one of the highlights of the festival is the BASKET RAFFLE!! Each class had a theme and gathered items for it, so there are 24 baskets. Tickets are $1.00 each and I must tell you that these are WONDERFUL baskets!! I've heard that one this year may be worth at least several hundred dollars. (I can't tell you which one, b/c I'm stuffing the box with tickets with my name!!)
Everyone come on out and enjoy another great day in Stokesdale!! Good food, good fellowship, vendors, games, and rides. We even have teachers who have volunteered to sit in the "flusher" and have water dumped on them. The one who gets the most people to try to "flush" him/her will win $100 worth of classroom supplies. See you there!! All proceeds go to Stokesdale Elementary PTA!!
