Just came back from Elizabeth's at the OR Commons, the food was good but the service was awful. They were short staffed and they did what I think is the worst thing, they continued to seat people as if they had a full complement of staff. While we were there at least two tables got up and left without ordering. It would have be much better if they asked people to wait, and only seat the amount of people that they can serve properly.
It didn’t help that the hostess didn’t pitch in instead of just waiting for people to arrive and to seat them.

The McCafe just cannot seem to get it right . My daughter ordered a chocolate milkshake, we started down the road and she found that it was a strawberry shake instead. Maybe it needs to concentrate on being an old school McDonalds.
On the other hand the chicken & shrimp scalipinne from the Macaroni grill @ Friendly was excellent, service great, just a good dining experience. and the birthday singers are top notch.

The Oak Ridge MacDonald’s hasn't quite gotten the process right yet. The other day while in there for Breakfast there was a constant stream of people coming back up and saying they were missing this or that or hadn’t gotten their meal yet. My personal peeve is I like their ice cream, nothing fancy simple ice cream, stop and get one fairly often. Problem is the machine is reguarly not working, the other day ice cream was oozing out of the side of the machine.

Hey Ya'll! I know it's been forever - I've missed all the entertaining reading!!
I just had to post pronto though......
I've been denying the mini-Mc a trip to Applebees (her favorite restaurant) since I read here several months ago about some folks bad experiences there. Well, we braced ourselves and went there tonight and I just have to tell ya that I think they must have heard the complaints and fixed some things.
Our server was Rodney and he was very nice, prompt with refilling our beverages, even tried to get the secret recipe for the Maple Butter Blondie sauce for me from the kitchen staff
We had burgers - Aloha Burger (Yummy with a capital Y!), Quesadilla Burger, and a regular cheeseburger, Triple Chocolate Meltdown and the Maple Butter Blondie for dessert. We licked the plates clean!!
OK, I'm off to google "maple butter blondie sauce" - I could drink that stuff. I've got to know how to make it so I can get my fix at home
Anyway, you might want to give Applebees another chance......

Prissy Polly's BBQ in Kernersville. Good food. They also cater and I think the catered food is even betterthan the restaurant.

I heard on the news this morning that IHOP is buying Applebees. Wonder if that will improve the service that some of you have complained about?

This isn't a restaurant BUT you do get food here. Why are the people that work at Food Lion in Summerfield on Hwy 220 North so rude? Can anyone answer this question for me? Is it because it is a monopoly in Summerfield? I can't be the only one that feels this way. I took my money back to Greensboro where they APPRECIATE MY business!
