Macca, mebbe we need to put some duct tape over that hole in the forum fence! They're gettin' loose somehow. Might be over yonder in them Oak Ridge sections. They prob'ly don't check theirs as much as the rest of us.

Sounds like a plan, Pappy! We got some good volunteers here in Stokesdale, and I know y'all have got some good ones in Summerfield! Maybe we could get that taken care of right away! ♥♥♥

Didja hear that, Pappy?? We can call in the troops now!

Mr. Mike must've figured he needed to keep his mission secret.... Hope he was able to work out a deal... Maybe it won't cost the taxpayers too much... Would $1200 cover moving costs?♥♥♥

LOL Macca!  No need for D.C. to write one of his selfless checks for this project! I think George would gladly take her (and her belongings) back home in his new pickup!!!!

:D

Just wanted to say a great big Thank-You for the kind Welcome you folks gave recently upon signing on as a new Member of the NWO Forum.

I have been somewhat reluctant to post, not knowing whether to wade into these waters or dive in head first. As a longtime lurker, I'm more than impressed with the wonderful sense of humor you share here as well as all of the captivating graphics which so many of you use with such ease (I'm envious!). The intellectual depth exhibited is the hallmark of some pretty razor sharp raconteurs peppered of course with some delightful repartee from the occasional rascal or renegade. Faulkner would be so proud.

I must confess in being the person who asked Vicki White-Lawrence if there was any kind of 'primer' for posting, in the hopes of not having to read through almost 600 posts in order to figure out all the acronyms, nicknames, and the assorted and sundry secret passwords and handshakes. MAAN 101 was/is a great idea for us Newbies.

Now if someone can just fill me in on who this 'Mom' is that ya'll mention from time to time.

Again, Muchas Gracias for the warm welcome!!

Welcome, Mr Jim Flynt! On behalf o' the only other member logged in at the moment, you're welcome! Plumb glad you joined us!

Pappy sure was proud o' that tree plantin' you did up yonder in Stokesdale. 81 trees, weren't it? Yee haw! Pappy ain't dug so many postholes since Mammy's people moved in next door! Didn't have to water 'em ever'day though. That sounds like a full time job.

Faulkner, eh? I don't know if he could even come up with a character like Mom. Ever heard o' El Chupacabra, the Mexican vampire monster? Well, that ain't her. Lot o' people jump to that conclusion based solely on circumstantial evidence. But, like El Chupacabra, I reckon you just hafta see it yourse'f, or you ain't never gonna believe it!

WELCOME to MAAN Jim Flynt!!!!

I'm so happy that you decided to jump on in and join us!!

Hopefully Steve Adkins (a.k.a. Steve-O, SMS and Stacka :D) got you straightened out on the Mom Creature issue.  If not, we'll be glad to clear it up for ya. We have to PM that info cause we're supposed to keep our discussions "clean" on the forum!!  ;)

Any other questions you might have are always welcome. We'd much rather you ask than to try to catch up, however if things get slow and you are ever bored, scanning the pages of MAAN will surely give you a laugh.  There's good stuff back there!

Thanks so much for all of the compliments! I agree with you that the wit and wisdom available here is unsurpassed. I've made some really great friends here that I probably wouldn't have met otherwise.

Come back soon k?  Mr. Mike will probably be back tomorrow and he and Pappy will be servin' bacon and biscuits for breakfast!!! (but you can't tell Mrs. Mike!!! ;))
