I finally ventured out about mid-day and the weather was pretty ok.....  Had to shed the buffler hide after all.

Today I hit the Dollar General for some generic Rubbermaid containers.  Nothing like some shiny new plastic boxes to make a place look all organized.....

Well one corner of a place anyway.....

CJ, I am enjoying your trek thru history, will be interested to see what year airbags were officially introduced.  I'm going to guess it will be in the 1970's sometime.......they were introduced, but were not received well at all.  Too Too Big, Ugly, & Expensive.   Also the deployments were not controllable to the extent of today.

Also should be interesting to see what the balance of the history trek.

Keep it up !!

CRACKAH! You missed a real opportunity yesterday! In addition to bringing you ever closer to the 2K mark, if you had just added a few more postings, you would've made it to 1956 -- and your historical info could've included the birth of SM Steve-o!!!! ♥♥♥

The GM situation was the talk of the game last night at the Palace.

GM employees were told......if you have a company car, drive it to work with all duplicate sets of keys. All vacations are cancelled.

Make sure you bring all company property with you including laptop, credit cards, cameras, phones, pagers, blackberries, etc.

You will be advised during the course of the day if you still have a job or not.

The unofficial number being thrown around was 36,000 employees being laid off.  Amazingly, the reports are largely verbal, I am not seeing anything of significance in newspapers???
