Okay, Kris... I'll bite. Where in Archdale will you be, and why? I grew up south of there, so that's my old "stomping ground."
Vicki, winterguard and drumline will be competing at Trinity HS next Saturday. So as usual, I'll be there all decked out as the fanatical band parent cheerin' for all my young'uns! (shhhh, but I mostly go to see my young'un but there are some who aren't lucky enough to have a fanatical band parent so I cover themmers too. I believe that every child should have some fanatic sittin' in the stands for them everytime they perform, compete, etc :?)

So, did you go to Trinity?? Band has been there before - some very nice folks down that way! My spoose is from a little farther south - Asheboro - some nice folks there but I wouldn't want to live there :D

I GUESS THEY GOT TIRED OF US STAYING "OFF TOPIC" ANYWAY, SO THEY GAVE US OUR WHOLE SECTION TO PLAY IN NOW....
WE CAN TAKE OVER THE WORLD IF WE JUST KEEP PUSHING THE LIMITS!!!!
Oh, OK, I'll calm down... must've been those 3 cups of espresso.... ♥♥♥

HEY MACCA!

On first read, I thought you were Cracker. Spoose has commandeered the good computer and I'm on the old dinosaur. I can't see the whole page and I can't see any animation - can't see ol' Earl and the penglins dancin' and playin':( I did hear one of the penglins yell MOO-VYOO-FOOL to ol' Earl though. He about fell off the house :D

Kris... First, about the stew.... I know they made a big stewpot of it, but don't have any idea how much will actually be sold. They took orders, but also had PLENTY that wasn't spoken for.... It could well be that they'll have some left over....

About the Archdale area.... I grew up in Glenola, which is NW Randolph (LA, as some of my friends refer to it . -- Lower Archdale). The area I grew up in was right on the dividing line for the Trinity/Randleman attendance lines ... In fact, buses passed each other on the road at the "dividing line," and some people who lived close enough would walk a little further to catch the Trinity bus even though they might have been in the Randleman zone. My dad had 11 brothers and sisters, and they all pretty much still live in that area. Most of them went to Trinity, as did my dad and his siblings. We moved about a mile further down the road, though, when I was in 4th grade, so I went to Archdale Elementary thru 3rd grade, then to New Market Elementary and then Randleman (or "Ranleman" -- said real fast) High. (Before middle schools, young'ins, elementary schools went to 8th grade and then you went to high school!) I went to at least of a couple of Trinity's proms, though, and probably knew about as many people there as I did at Randleman. (I'm aging myself for sure, now.) The current Trinity High was built while I was in high school, and I attended its first prom. (Back in the day when schools still had proms at their schools!)

I was sorta wondering the same thing Kris.  Looks like you been hanging around those band students a little too long, they're teaching you some attitude??

Fellow penglings... and any other Aerosmith fans out there....

I heard this spoof song on the radio this week that was so funny and I forgot to tell you about it....

It was done to Aerosmith's Janie's got a gun.

Except they changed the words to Cheney's got a gun...

It was HILARIOUS... Poor old Cheney.... tee hee!
