Well finally I seem to be up and running this morning after all the excitment last night. We had a thunder booming frog strangler last night. Lost several limbs and this morning found a big red baloon from the Auto Connection in our field.  Does anybody know where the Auto Connection is? I am curious to know how far the baloon traveled. Had almost an inch of rain and all the computers were down this morning.

WOW!!! Some storm, huhl???!! This one wasn't as bad as some lately for us.

Spoose just came in from getting the paper and we seem to be ok. Computers didn't even go out. ♥♥♥

JANE!! Maybe this is a "sign" that you should open up a car dealership!!!:D ♥♥♥

Jane, I googled it and the only ones I found are in the western part of the state -- Henderson and Asheville -- except one in Angiers, wherever that is. Maybe it's just a generic "car connection,' like "We're your car connection," so we should look for dealerships that have balloons like that?? Was this a HUGE balloon, or just a little one?

Do we need to get someone from the NW Observer out to take a picture???♥♥♥

Jane, is that little place on 220 there at Purgason's called Car Connection? I've seen that name but cain't place it. What about them boys at Gas Town? They got baloons?

Reminds me o' the time yars ago when young Pappy was out in a pasture with no trees around fer a good ways. There was a storm a-brewin', it was startin' to cloud up, the wind was pickin' up, an' all on a sudden, all these leaves just started fallin' down out o' the sky! Young Pappy knew it was either spooks or a small twister that picked them leaves up an' carried 'em what musta been a purty good ways. Either way, I temporarily repented o' all my past misdeeds an' cut a trail fer home. Never did see no twisters nor twister damage.

Pappy you may be right about the Car Connection. I will drive by there if I remember and look. They are probably 3 miles from the house. That baloon must have gotten caught up in some current.

Wow -- that sounds bad!

Oak Ridge had a pretty good thunder and lightning show, as well as lots of rain, but doesn't look like anything else from here.

All that booming thunder and flashing lightning ... kinda reminded me of a Who show ('cept not nearly as loud).

I just finished my breakfast. I had a healthy one with a big bowl of raisin bran, a cup o' joe -- and a big side order of

BACON!

(Spoose was cooking it up, so couldn't turn it down. Didn't want to appear rude, you know! :P:P:P Mmmmm.......)

Pappy, the auto place near Purgasons is Hedrick's Auto Sales.  Ronnie Hedrick is owner and mechanic, and a good, honest one, too, but doesn't seem like the balloon ad kind of guy.  He has recently expanded his car sales space so I'll check when I go by to see if he is also the Connection.

Much obliged, Starcatchr. I hate it when I get somethin' like that in my head an' I know I've seen it somewhar, but I just cain't place it. Like some o' these young'uns I got runnin' around the house. I'm sure I've seen 'em before, but they look so much older these days...

Woohoo!! Looks like fun, Pappy. I didn't realize Monty could be so much fun. All he does is tell me to get back on topic.
