So True Pappy...... The one thing about this job of ours, you know... the forum one...is that I tend to get behind on things so easily!

Today I got busy though and got some stuff done!  The Christmas lights are all put away and I got that old Jack-O-Lantern off of the porch!

Might have to hit some of your medicine for my aching bones tonite!

Oh, Crackah! Just do like my neighbors do.... leave it up year-round.... Makes it a whole lot easier! ♥♥♥

Now, if you wanted to get real industrious, you could change the lights and decorations for for Valentines, for St Patty's Day, pastels for Easter/Spring, and☆ for summer/4th of July, and then black and orange Halloween stuff! ♥♥♥

I've just come from our Parade Committee meeting. We had 8 volunteers show up, and there were some others who will be working with us but couldn't make this meeting. We can still use more help, though, so any of you who would like to help, please mark your calendars:

Our next committee meeting is August 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Stokesdale Town Hall

The Stokesdale Tree Lighting, which will include Santa, refreshments and entertainment, will be held Sunday, Nov 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the Stokesdale Fire Station. The Angel Tree, sponsored by Good Samaritan Ministries, should be available at that time as well.

The 9th Annual Stokesdale Holiday Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, in downtown Stokesdale, starting at 2:00 p.m.

Sandra- I worked at Dr. Kaplan's after we sold the drugstore and that's when I decided to go to nursing school. So no conflict of intrest I don't think. It was fun when we owned thedrugstor though. Saw a lot of kids grow up during that 10 years.

Sandra I think there are probably several problems with deafness from a Who concert qualifing as a work comp injury. The most important being you needed to have a job!!!

Pappy Years ago when I was in my back to nature phase I made liver pudding from scratch and that pretty much cured me of ever eating it again with or with out biscuits.

Sandra! I saw The Who at the G'boro coliseum one time.... Couldn't hear for at least 2 days!!! 'Course I had the same experience after attending a NASCAR race at Martinsville another time!

Might have something to do with me asking folks to repeat what they say to me every now and then! Huh? ♥♥♥

Sounds like you guys have lots of fun stuff planned for Christmas Vicki! Hope you get lots of volunteers!  I'm sure planning to attend both events!

First of all Scuba, I don't want ANY details on the making of liver pudding. No narration needed in that area.

Secondly, what do you mean WHEN you were in your back to nature phase????  You are the nature lover extraordinaire!!

Oh Cracker When I use to read Mother Earth News and Mother Jones, Clark and I and the children were farming we were pretty serious. I have mellowed considerably.  I am still very concerned about the environment. Really worry about all the greed that has degraded our air and water quality but let me tell you sometime about making liver pudding. I am sure I can totally gross you out!!
