We are trying to arrange a trip out there next summer ourselves. We are either starting at the Canyon and traveling to Vega$ or vice versa... haven't decided. I think it'll be best to end up in Vega$ or I might not be able to afford transportation to the Canyon!
Crackah! I've been reading about the Cirque du Soleil tribute to the Beatles -- "Love." They previewed it all during June to get audience reaction, then had the official premiere this weekend. Sir Paul ♥♥♥, Ringo, Yoko Ono, Cynthia Lennon, Julian Lennon, Olivia Harrison, et al, were there -- and evidently it's a big hit! Maybe I'll have to make a trip to Vegas just to catch this show!!!♥♥♥ Macca, (uh oh.... inside the box quoting... hate that) Anyway, I'll check into that show when I go. I'll probably have to sell my swimming "puddle" to afford the tickets though! ALSO, if I see anyone who even LOOKS like Julian or Yoko, I'm not going. Those two frighten me a little....In a Christopher Walken kinda way....creepy!

Hey! Scuba Jane... did you see where you and I were quoted in this week's NWO??? They used our Pizza Delivery Guy question in the Q&A section!!! I know there are many people out there in the tri town area who are thanking us!!!!
Of course the "Have you heard the chatter" portion of the NWO was incomplete because they forgot Pappy's quote!!!!

Steve-O's step son got married Thurs night in our newly remodeled back yard, so y'all know the chaotic activity with a wedding. Nervous brides, grooms wondering if they really want to jump off the deep end, and all parties just a bunch of nerves.
then Friday, 10 of our friends flew up from mexico, some others from Houston TX, my son from Chicago, and we're having a fun weekend. We're hosting around 15 people at our house until Wednesday.
So we're having a great weekend with alot of friends.
I just jumped on here to see what I was missing.

Sorry! I dozed for a few after that last posting...♥♥♥
It looks as though tickets for "Love" range from $70 to $150. It lasts for 90 minutes and includes music, acrobatics, film clips, etc. Music from about 30 songs, I think I read.
I know what you mean about Yoko. I've never cared for how she looks, and I've never understood her "talent." She seems to be a real business person, always capitalizing on John. This production started with George, and Yoko, George's widow, and Paul ♥♥♥ and Ringo were all participants in putting it together.
I read that SOMETHING happened (maybe they got caught up in all the "Love") but Paul ♥♥♥ actually kissed Yoko on the cheek!!! It's like they made up, at least temporarily!
I liked what Cynthia Lennon said, though, when a reporter talked about Yoko sitting next to her at an after-party. Something like, we didn't exchange phone #s and "I think it's called a 'photo op.'" The reporters were trying to make it like Yoko was being nice to her or something. 'Course I'm sure there are plenty who were watching them, since Cynthia first met Yoko when she came home and found Yoko there with John. Cynthia supposedly took EVERYTHING from the home -- including the carpet -- when she left. Thru the years, I'm sure Yoko has made her life h*ll. I've heard Julian talk about how he and Paul ♥♥♥ would get together and talk about Yoko.

After the Dead Man's Chest show on TV Guide Channel, they are doing one on a show that will be on the History Channel about real pirates. Looks good -- AND they talked with Ben Cherry, who travels around as Blackbeard. I know he's been around to several of our schools, as well as gigs he does on the Outer Banks! ♥♥♥

Cracker- I did read the question in the NWO this morning. Since there won't be a paper on Friday I was saving my last week one so that I would not have withdrawal when no paper arrived this Friday.
I am an avid newspaper reading but I need to hold it in my hands with a cup of coffee preferably. Some how it is not as satisfying reading the news on line. I guess I have been reading a news paper since I was about 6 or 7 and old habits are hard to break. Years ago Greensboro had a morning and afternoon paper and my parents took both of them. Now that was heaven and I had time to read them also.

Poor ol' John. I thought he was a lot like one o' the Lost Boys on Peter Pan, except instead o' Wendy, he got Yoko to be his mama.
I really liked the music he was doin' in what would turn out to be his last years. O' course, I like just about ever'thing the Beatles ever did, except fer "Old Brown Shoe" an' "Octopus's Garden."
I wish the parties involved would quit spendin' money on lawyers an' put the Beatles on iTunes. Our young'uns need better access to some decent music.

Pappy -- I don't know a lot about iTunes. I know there was the lawsuit between Apple (computers) and the Beatles' Apple recording label.... I also know Michael Jackson (uuugggghhhh!) owns the rights to the Beatles' songs -- because he could, I guess.... Is that what you mean? 'Course, my kids are growing up with a steady stream of everything Beatle!♥♥♥

BTW, Pappy! I think I read that "Octopus's Garden" is included, but I don't remember mention of "Ol' Brown Shoe." Of course, there's a segment with "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite," since there is the circus atmosphere and reference there! ♥♥♥
Hey, MIKE!!!! Long time no see!!!! We miss you!!!!♥♥♥

Mornin' everybody!
Hey Mike!!! Haven't seen you around much lately!
Macca, I had problems yesterday too. The forum was running slow as molasses... I thought it was just my poor ol' tired computer!
