Crackah will not let me post this over on the Summerfield re-zoning page.  I think we should call her little Steve...she is just too good sometimes.  She said I have to be nice.......

Posting it here, hope it is OK Steve just need to vent!!!!!!  This is in reference to the town council meeting where they voted on the dentist office rezoning..........

[size=2 PT][size=2 PT]Town Council Meeting Attendance

As a regular attendee of Summerfield Town Council meetings, it has been interesting to me that some citizens show up only when they are in opposition of something on the agenda.  I noticed a group recently who sat and spoke quietly among themselves while Council was discussing other issues on the agenda.  When it came time to discuss the issue that they were interested in, a couple of them spoke up. There was a much larger group that spoke on the other side and made great points that were in line with Summerfield's long range plan.

[size=2 PT][size=2 PT]

[size=2 PT][size=2 PT]The majority of the council's votes did not go to suit the quiet little group.  The group angrily left the meeting and began calling neighbors and telling them how council had wronged them. They did not stay to hear anything else that was going on in the town. They had twisted their ideas and assumptions to a point where they had begun to believe them as the fact. They share these fabrications with others because now they really do believe what they are saying. Sound familiar?

[size=2 PT]
[size=2 PT][size=2 PT]As I reflected on the evening it came to mind that I had only seen one of these citizens ever attend a meeting in the past, and that again was to oppose something that was going to or not going to benefit him personally.  I have never seen the others in attendance at Town Council Meetings.[size=2 PT]

My point is, when you never see these citizens at a town function, committee meetings, or volunteering in their hometown it appears that they are only out for themselves. It doesn't seem to matter to them what is best for the town, it is what is best for them.  Doesn't it seem like they are doing exactly what they are accusing council of doing to the town?  I have noticed that this happens a lot, but never as blatantly as the last meeting.

Ask Lacka will have to be out of commission for a day or so. I am so distraught over the LACK A volunteerism and the increased amount of complaints from citizens.  If you have a matter that needs immediate attention please contact Crackah and she can determine if it is an emergency that needs my attention.  Thank you for understanding.  {picture me with the backside of my hand placed on my forehead and my head tilted back, eyes rolling to the back of my head in disgust} yeah that is it.  That was pretty funny that you tried to do that and look like me.

I'm feeling the need to change my avatar but to what?  Now that the Lone Ranger has ridden off into the sunset, there's really no need for Tonto to hang around and I'm puttin' McGarrett away until the next election.

Anybody got any good ideas for me???

OK, CRACKAH! Let's think this through.... 1st you were the CJ box, then what? (Is it just too late at night, or am I getting old timer's disease?) Next you were Tonto, then McGarrett.... Do you go back to one of those, or come up with something new? What about a penguin????♥♥♥
