That one's not Hamlet though... It's either from Twelfth Night or a Summerfield Town Council Member!

Nothing would please me more than the hope that we might instill in all of our young people the importance of planting trees to maintain and preserve our environment and contribute to the aesthetics of a quality of life.

387 views on Oct. 13 ♥♥♥

WE ONLY NEED 700 VIEWS IN ORDER TO REACH 100,000!!!:D:shock: ♥♥♥

Think we can do that today in honor of SMS' forum birthday??? He was the one who originally challenged us to reach 10,000 by the end of December, (which we did) and 100,000 by Dec. 2 this year! We have proven we can meet his Dec. 2 deadline; since we're so close, can we do it today to honor him? ♥♥♥

Been tryin' to catch up, since I had some "fambly bidnez" to take care of yesterday ("all my troubles seemed so far away...")... ♥♥♥

Y'all were doin' all kinds of things..... quotin' Shakespeare, postin' historical pitchers, tellin' lies, plantin' trees, shoppin' fer new avatars! Wow!

PAPPY! I've loved EVERY ONE of your avatars.... You gonna get a totally new one, or bring back an "oldy goldie"? ♥♥♥

Speakin' of "oldy goldies" -- I CAN'T BELIEVE OLDIES 93 CHANGED FORMATS!!!!

I mean, I used to listen to Country all the time, but I got tired of some of the rhetoric I had to put up with in order to hear the music....

Oldies 93 was great! The little maccas are as disappointed as I am that it is gone....:( I can't believe they had trouble getting advertisers for baby boomers (even though I'm too young to be one!:D)!!

I've been scanning the channels trying to find a replacement, but am having a hard time. I've always liked Rock92 as well as Oldies 93, it's just that reception isn't always good up here. I've found 96.3 out of Roanoke, but again, reception is sometimes a problem. I've tried 99.5 and others in that frequency range, but they also throw in some of that new stuff....

Anyone got any other suggestions for good rock'n'roll? ♥♥♥

Dang, Macca, not Oldies! I don't know of any other station like it. Rock 92 plays too much o' the same stuff too close together fer me. Pappy likes a little more variety. I used to listen to 96.3 a lot but reception can be a problem. Pappy likes the good kind o' country now an' then too, not Shania Twain an' the newer country-lite pop product.

I remember the good ol' days listenin' to 1320 WCOG AM an' later WRQK, The Mighty 99 with Big Daddy Dave Thomas in the evenin' time!

Mostly I just listen to the music playin' in my head. Hit it, boys!

Tarnin' 50?! Dang, Steve, let us know when you get serious about old age! Hee hee!

Speakin' o' national an' international news topics, here's a picture o' Spiro Agnew to get us started off down the right trail. I think it defines the genre.

Ah Pappy, surely you know 50 is the new 30 ?!?!  Except for all these baby boomer maladies, ie acid reflux, back pains (ouch), menopause (why do womens ailments have the word 'men' in them?), and so on, we should all feel good as new????

Are you going to arrange a Spiro Agnew expedition??
