Of course it does. People move out into these subdivisions looking for country living but wanting the convenience of a subdivision (houses already built, neighborhodd feel, etc). This works for a while until the subdivisions outdo the country, then these same people move on to the next place. It is one of the reasons for "urban sprawl".
I am one of these people that liked the country and moved into a subdivision in the country because I did not have the money to buy land and build my own house. Nor did I want to buy an older house and fix it up. Alas, I could not find a newer home for what I could afford except in a subdivision. We enjoy the subdivision and like the neighborhood aspect. We also like driving through the country to get to our subdivision.

Hi Bama,
"urban sprawl", I don't think I have ever heard that expression before. I like it, very descriptive.
Yeah, I grew up in a 50's subdivision in the suburbs. Where we are in Stokes county is TOO country. When we bought our house it was because it was such a great deal, a foreclosure price. My husband actually likes it here, the drive gets to me every now and then. He works in Stokesdale and I in the Oak Ridge area. I love my house just wish I were closer to the burbs. There are no sub divisions up here. Just a lot of cows, deer and wild turkey. I had to stop for one this morning when I was driving to work. She was strolling across the road in no particular hurry. If she hadn't been so skinny I may have considered accelerating a bit.
Thanks for the reply.

There is a "stats" section I can view that tells views by day.
There is a trend to heavier views on weekends, and lighter views as the week goes on.

Blessings- Don't worry the urban sprawl is coming to Stokes county. Unfortunately North Carolina is one of the faster growing states, we are like # 7 in highest population which is not necessarily good if you like country. I use to laugh when Summerfield first started growing maybe 30-35 years ago that the city folks moved out and immediately put up street lights because they were afraid of the dark. I still find that strange but not unusual.

Who needs streetlights, when you can get night-vision goggles or spycams with IR emitters?

One of these days, I want to set up something like that, to watch critters at night.

I don't know Aeolius might be like scuba diving. Once I learned how and started diving a lot and realized what was in the ocean swimming around with me, I am not nearly as interested in wading or swimming any more. You might discover the same thing in your back yard.

Mornin', y'all.
Shore was a purty sunrise this mornin', even if them red clouds was a portent o' rain.
Aeolius, I had some X-ray specs when I was a kid, but I reckon you got them beat.
How's that back a-doin', Steve-O? Take yer med'cine and lay on the couch till thangs feel better. That's Pappy's cure-all.
