Not sure how light the shower is here in Sfield when you are a mile from home on foot. I got pretty wet. But you know it is warm and we sure do need the rain so I am not complaining as I sit here drying off.

Glad you brought 'em back, Macca. I see y'all are still goin' at it! Hee hee!
Speakin' o' memory lane, I notice October 2006 will be a 1 year anniversary o' joinin' the forum fer several folks, includin' them three pugilistic penglin's! That's another good reason to reach our 100,000 view goal by Halloween. (Did somebody mention the anniversary thang before? If they did, sorry I missed it.)

Can I have a party tomorrow for 165 posts? (Don't any of you guys with like 2,800 posts make fun of me!)

I'll bet you were not at the Stokesdale Bi-Rite when you made this amazing discovery, Pappy. How do I know that? (macca PI has nothing on me!) I know that because I remember (from reading the NWO, of course) that just last year, Stokesdale's town council was forward thinking enough to pass a loitering law!
Too many unsavory characters, like that C-Loaf (whatever that is) were probably wasting time and bothering the paying customers. I suspect they are all still there, but they're being more discreet these days, spreading their time between the Potted Meat, the Hot Pockets and the Fruit Loops (you don't think they're in the health food section, do you?) and leading to the further denegration of society as we know it.
Ummmmm, Gang!!! We're falling down on our jobs!! Not being good playground pals and all that!!!
SANDRA had her 200th post on July 30 and we never threw her a party!!!
And after she had so shamelessly requested one at a mere 165 posts a few weeks prior to that!! We got some partying to do!!!!♥♥♥

No, Pappy! I don't think we've picked up on that before! We've just been talking about the 1-year birthday of MAAN! Good idee! (Why am I not surprised, comin' from the Wise One and all???)♥♥♥

Good Point, Pappy!!!♥♥♥
Jane! Do you walk every day??? Maybe we could start a "walking club" and report to each other on how far we walked that day, what we saw, heard, etc! It might motivate some of us to get out and enjoy nature more/be more active, etc! I for one could use the exercise!!!!
Any other takers???♥♥♥

I am here, sitting in the Houston airport waiting to come home to S'field.
Looks like y'all been havin' a ball.......as usual.
Went to the Houston Space Center yesterday, was pretty cool, they've got a Saturn Rocket sitting there, ready to buy, never been used.
Also found out they're going to retire out some of the space shuttles for a mere $4billion each.
Thought Summerfield could buy a couple, use them to defray "other costs".

Well I use to walk at leat 4 days out of the week but this summer have gotten woefully lazy. Have a Curves membership and haven't used it all summer so this morning I decided to start back. It is exactly 2 miles round trip from my house to end of my road and back. Just a perfect walk i think. Today I saw the doves hanging out on the power line. Could it possibly be time for dove season already. A poor little bunny rabbit met his maker in the middle of the road last night. Now if I had run him over I would have brought him home for dinner. Can't all of us be like Pappy and hunt with dogs and a gun. Cars work well too.
We also have some goats that are running loose from somewhere so I looked for them. The neighbors dog followed me most of the way home before I convinced it to go home. I have a favorite dog I walk with Harry. He is very good and does not go far into the neighbors yards and just stays mostly with me.
When I first started walking years ago I really hated it so I would count steps up to a hundred and then start over. I kept track of how many steps it took to get a certain place and stuff like that until I really began to enjoy walking. So to start back try counting steps, it keeps your mind occupied and you can't think about how hot it is , how hard this is and all those negative things that can come rushing in.
Lets do a diary of our walks here.
Next time it is cloudy I will try the advice to wear the scuba equipment but you know those flippers are the pits to walk in.

Steve next time I wear my flippers I will try flipping rocks. Might have come in handy on my walk today as I was trying to convince the neighbor dog I did not want him to come live at my house. I would throw a rock at him, missing him of course and he would run over where the rock landed to sniff it completely missing the point that I was yelling "go Home" the whole time. i finally started jogging and it was raining so he stopped following me.

Pick us up a couple o' them rockets, Steve. I doubt DC has any spare change left from his councilman's salary that he just "spent", but maybe we can hold a bake sale. I'll donate the rocket fuel fer the first launch. Hee hee!
Don't ferget the new park in SF openin' September 9. There'll be a place er two to walk there.
