DT, so sorry that happened. Hope you told them we are not all topless here!!!!
One time I was there and trying to teach my boyfriend/now husband to ski. He had tried may times on two, and could do it, but could never get up on one. This day he just knows he is going to do it....I am not a boat driver and always get a bit nervous that I will not see that 20 ft piece of fiberglass floating in my space, anyway it is a weekday so the lake is not too busy. I am driving and he is in the water getting ready to ski.
Now anyone who has been there knows the water is normally warm. This day it was not. Remember this it will be important later.
He drinks a lot of lake water, complains that I am not going fast enough, not going slow enough, the rope is too long, the rope is too short, the boot is not tight enough, it is too tight, everytime he cannot get up on the one ski it is my fault for whatever reason.
The man finally gets up and is thrilled. It is just the two of us so I am trying to watch him in addition to watching where I am going. I hear cheers coming from a pontoon boat that is driving by. I am thinking that they too are proud that I am doing such a good job driving the boat... the cheers get louder and there is now laughter involved now. I am knowing that they are not laughing at my driving. I am thinking something is up. Well that wasn't the case at all.....remember I told you the water was cold, told you to remember this.
I look back at my boyfriend/now husband and he has forgotten to tie his swimshorts. He is now skiing nekked. He was so excited about getting up on one ski that he didn't even care that there was a boat load of people. Please tell the family that we are not all like that, sometimes we just marry those kinds of people.

Lacka, you just provided my Laugh of the Day (do we have an award for that?). If I ever meet Mr. Lacka, I hope I don't remember this story, or else I will probably have to crack up.

| taint nothin y'all could help... & I'm sure the fam knows everyone up here's not like that.... my daughter waved as they passed by & the 'slug' that was "nekked" was shouting some sort of mess back... sure am glad the boat was drownin out them words... I'm sure it weren't nothin I'd wanna hear! also glad the neice's twins are still babies...them boys mighta been shoutin stuff too... definitely not somethin you'd see every Sunday no matter where you were (short of the Riveria)

I'm staying on the run, was in Torreon MX Mon - Thu, then Friday drove to mid Kentucky to see my mother for her 81st birthday, posting from her house now via dial up, and strangely it's faster than the internet has been for the last several days.
Monday I'll be driving back to NC, then Wed & Thu to Michigan.

Just to clarify though, I have never been to China and I would know what restaurants they have over yonder if Steve hadn't told me.
AND... I'll bet there were some 9 year olds crusin' Belews Lake today too! Probably got an eyefull just like DToney did!!!

OK, Gang! You know I'm good for useless information if nothing else.... When Steve-O issued the challenge, he said we average 8,500 hits per month (Jan thru June). He posted his challenge on July 10 and noted that at that time the # of hits (views) was 65,000. We're up to 67,000 now -- 2,000 in 6 days! WE CAN DO IT! WE CAN DO IT!!! ♥♥♥
Every time we go back to check on what someone said before, or catch up when we've been away, we're boosting those #s!
And, of course, we're all just so darn intelligent/witty and FUN!!!! that folks just HAVE to check us out to see what we're typalking about!!!! ♥♥♥
