Kris,

Well you all know I am a huge baseball fan.  Once when a Lacka niece was young, t-ball age, the parents thought it would be good for her to play. She probably worried about this all night the night before opening day.  We venture to the ballfield; we thought she had the basics.  It took about 10 minutes to drive to the field.  If any of you have ever been to a T-ball game you know all the parents are yelling things like “throw it to first” “you can’t tackle” “the ball is on the ground behind you” “you have to swing the bat” “run home”. It must be intimidating.

It was the “run home” that bothered the little Lacka niece.  She was having second thoughts about this.  If it took 10 minutes to DRIVE over to the field, she just really didn’t think it worth it to RUN all the way back to her house when the parents all started to say “run home!!”

Kris back to your questions……

Not everyone knows this, but Baseball is actually played in quarters.  There are exactly 2.25 innings in every quarter. So Kris it is really not any different than some of those other sports.

The reason they do not play in the rain is because the dugouts are built about halfway below ground level and well Kris the players would just drown.  I

The reason the games end up being so long is because baseball fans like to eat.  With nine innings you have 18 chances to hit the hot dog stand. Two halves or four quarters it means BYOF or go hungry.

Wow, what a perfectly awesome beautiful evening.   Just listening to nature tonight, hearing English on the TV & radio, dog in lap, eating hot dog & hamburger for dinner, and just enjoying all the beautiful side of Summerfield.

I saw the founders day sign by the Town Hall, nice touch.  Went over to visit with our friends Glenn & Donna at the Garden Outlet, watched a truckload of red mulch unload, wow is that something to see.

Nice to be home, if only for a weekend.

Mawnin', y'all!

Glad yer gettin' a break, Steve.

Pappy's gullet is a-wagin' war with his gumption in a classic battle of oppposin' forces. The gullet says, "FEED ME!" an' the gumption says, "I don't wanna." Reckon I'll try to achieve balance an' become one with the universe by eatin' a quick breakfast bar while I wait fer the bacon to fry, I mean, fer the orange to peel.

I do need an agent, 50/50 sounds good to me Kris!!

Only for Kris the rest of you don't read this part.  Kris, you know I don't make any money, right?  50% of nothing isn't very much, so if you want to reconsider I will understand.  Don't tell the others.

So anyway I think as my agent (if you still want to be after, well you know) I think you should check out this Laskas chick.  I think she is trying to copy me.  I sure do.  It is making me a little uncomfortable that she is so much like me.  It could be that she is really a stalker, or something.

I went to RD to check her out.  She is really trying to copy me.  I know what you are thinking... she is answering serious questions, and I am not.  What you have to realize is that the problems that we have around here like getting the bacon smell off of Mike and Pappy's breath, trying to get Steve to be just a little more romantic on Valentines day, and explaining that baseball fans really do know what they are doing is important stuff that needs to get out there.

Let me know what you find out about and if you think that we need to contact the authorities we will

OK, Lacka you got your point across.

FYI, during my absence this week, I made sure red roses were sent to the house, with a big balloon attached that says "You're still the one"........and if you hit the balloon, it plays the song "you're still the one".

And it wasn't even Valentines.

Interesting you mention the word "break"

My wife & I were doing some work in the backyard this am, she managed to stumble on some uneven earth and twist her ankle.  Swelled up royally, had to get her to quit dancing around, cause it was starting to cloud up (rain dance?).

We went & did the Xray thing....doesn't appear to be broken, but royally sprained.  So she's keeping her foot in the air, and I'm playing butler.

(Good excuse not to travel?????........Just might use this one !!)

OK, so we have 2 angles here:

1) Market the Lacka's fine manuscripts or,

2) Sue the pants off this Laskas impersonator :D
